Summary
An active and highly motivated researcher with more than 10 years of experience in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
techniques in various aspects of engineering. Has more than 5 years of teaching experience as an assistant professor (lecturer) in the
fields of artificial intelligence, machine vision and electronics. Supervised and advised more than 15 MSc and PhD students and
published more than 30 papers with around 290 citations. As mentioned, most of the publications are about application of AI, CV and
ML techniques in different fields of engineering in collaboration with different universities around the world (UK, Netherland, Italy,
Canada and Iran). Over the past four years, major researches have focused on the application of artificial intelligence, CV and ML in
healthcare (humans and animals). In addition, Familiar with AI and Machine Learning (ML) tools such as Torch, Tensor flow, Keras,
NumPy, Scikit-Learn, OpenCV, Open3d and Matplotlib Libraries in python and also Matlab software. Member of US Machine
Intelligence Research Lab (MIRL), Iranian Society of Machine Vision and Image Processing (ISMVIP), and affiliated member of
People-AI centre at the University of Surrey, UK.

Experience
September 2021 Research Fellow for Computer Vision & AI for Veterinary science,

Current • Developed 3D photography system by using Azure Kinect cameras.
• Used computer vision and AI method to examine the link between external facial/head appearance and
abnormal brain morphology in pedigree dogs.

❖ Project: Machine Learning (ML) based inventory handling (November 2020 – July 2021)
Tasks: AI and ML based methods are widely used for solving industrial challenges. Inventory handling is one of the most important
and time consuming action in industry. Using ML based device for inventory handling can increase performance of company.
Employer: Iran's National Elites Foundation, Tehran, Iran.

❖ Project: Deep Hip Shape Finder (February 2020 - now)


Tasks: Finding shape of hip can help physicians to understand bone abnormalities in hip of patient. Deep learning based method
could be useful solution for finding shape of hip by using biomarkers.

❖ Project: Hand based Authentication system (2018)


Tasks: Hand includes many unique information of human identity. Different biometrics such as fingerprint, palm-print, knuckles,
and hybrid features of them could be so useful for biometric based authentication systems.
Principal end-user and funder: Sapienza University (Italy) and University of Birjand (Iran).

❖ Project: Development and testing of algorithms and / or tools for the analysis and classification of images (2015)
Tasks: images were first split into blocks, and each block was then analyzed separately. Image and data compression algorithms
like Jpeg, Jpeg2000, CharLS and LZ0, ZRLE were also used to facilitate the subsequent classification of each block, depending
on its content.
