Praful Mehta

Praful Mehta is the co-founder and CEO of Vamstar. He has more than 20 years of experience
in helping both buyers and suppliers create effective market access strategies across different
therapeutic areas. Mr. Mehta has been a longtime advisor to senior teams to the Fortune Global
500 companies, SMEs, and Startups on the issues of technology implementation, market
reform, pricing governance, sourcing and procurement, launch planning, landscape
assessments, market competitiveness, and lifecycle planning. He has significant project
experience in working with the BRIC-MT and EU-5 nations, as well as the United States and
Japan. Mr. Mehta has also advised governments, trade associations, and chambers of
commerce to streamline healthcare market functioning and enable policy level changes across
markets.

Mr. Mehta has been interviewed and quoted in various journals, print media, blogs and
leadership forums within the industry. Prior to working at Vamstar, Mr. Mehta was a Senior
Principal at IHS Markit, where he developed the company’s core market access, pricing and
reimbursement, and forecasting capability for different healthcare markets. Mr. Mehta also led
various project teams at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals and Johnson & Johnson.

Richard Freeman
Richard has over 19+ years industry experience delivering B2B and B2C big data, complex
integration and data science projects across sectors including Fortune Global 500 companies
when he was at Capgemini for six years. Richard is co-founder and CTO Data at Vamstar,
leading the hands-on delivery, architecture and data science of the platform that predicts and
matches public contracts for healthcare suppliers. The platform includes in-house big data
pipelines, custom NLP models, novel machine learning models and working with leading
Universities on novel Innovate UK funded research projects.

He is also an independent AWS solutions architect, data science expert, and technical advisor
for various companies, startups and VCs. Before co-founding Vamstar, Richard was at
JustGiving for six years, leading the technical delivery of the data science powered consumer
products and platform that raised an additional $20M for good causes in the first year of
deploying data science in product in 2013, later shown at Microsoft Build and Future Decoded
Keynotes. He then led the delivery of the in-house AWS-based data science and analytics
RAVEN platform supporting data from the 26M users at JustGiving for campaign management,
clickstream analytics and fraud detection products powered-by graph analytics, machine
learning and natural language processing which included a collaboration with leading
academics.
He has an MEng in computer systems engineering and PhD (Manchester) in neural networks,
machine learning and natural language processing. Active blogger, international speaker and
author of a book and several video courses available on Packt, Udemy, and O’Reilly Safari.
Over the years he has presented and shared his experience at many high profile conferences
including AWS Re:Invent, AI Summit and Meetups.

Vishesh Duggar
Vishesh Duggar is the co-founder and CTO Product of Vamstar. He has more than 19+ years of
experience in software development and delivery, including 8 years in healthcare. Has brought
close to 20 products to market both in the enterprise B2B and B2C across markets like US,
Europe and India. Advised seasoned entrepreneurs like Linda Avey from 23AndMe on tech
strategy and roadmap. These were primarily health-tech startups in telemedicine, wearable
tech, food journaling, and so on including Oura Health, the popular wellness ring brand out of
Finland.

Vishesh has also served as a CTO to multiple organizations advising them on technology
roadmap, strategy, architecture and scaling their engineering teams. He has extensive
experience in taking products from an idea stage to market and scaling them.

Alexander Charles Wilson
Engineering Manager

Alex completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Monash
University in Australia. Since then, he has gained over 27+ years of rich work experience in
Technical and Managerial roles in a variety of industries including, finance, publishing and
telecom. Prior to joining us, he helped with scaling technologies in Trayport, Atex, Tennyson
Technologies and Design 2000.

In his last organization, Alex was responsible for developing the technology aligned with the
business goals and objectives. He also helped establish the roadmap for development,
forecast headcounts and budgets as well as engage in risk management.

Currently, he is working in close conjunction with Vishesh and the Core Engineering team to
help in scaling the development process at Vamstar.
Shane Walker
Director of MedTech Research

Mr. Shane Walker received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of West Florida, USA, and
an MBA in Corporate Finance from St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas, USA. He has more
than seventeen years of experience conducting industry research, business analysis, and
strategy development. Mr. Walker has worked closely with a wide range of clients, including
large end-equipment and semiconductor manufacturers, software developers and start-ups, on
a bespoke basis as well as providing syndicated work. He continues to conduct primary
industry research, specifically regarding trends surrounding chronic disease management and
the technology being developed to improve care outcomes.

Before joining Vamstar, Mr. Walker served as a director and principal analyst at IHS Markit. He
has also spent several years in the computer software sector as a sales director for a leading
CAD developer, where he conducted competitive intelligence and developed marketing
strategy for an international VAR network. During this time, he provided the strategic direction
for healthcare research, while managing a global team of analysts. He has also served as a
healthcare technology consultancy lead for several key accounts, including Fortune 100 clients.

Mr. Walker is currently a Senior Director with Vamstar. He manages a comprehensive portfolio
of medical market intelligence that includes a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic
applications.

Soumitra Sharma
VP – Customer Success & Consulting

Mr. Soumitra Sharma has completed his Bachelor’s in Commerce and Economics from HR
College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai. Following this, he completed a Masters in
Business Administration from ICFAI Business School Hyderabad and a Program in Leadership
development from Harvard Business School, Boston- USA. Both are eminent names in the field
of global education.

With rich experience of over 18 years he has helped various organizations to strengthen their
corporate strategy and grow their business. Prior to joining us he was associated with
organizations like, Aster DM Healthcare,Achira Labs, IHS Markit, Frost and Sullivan, KPMG etc.
In his last organization he was involved in Cohort evaluation, health outcome forecasting, RWE,
due diligence, pilot projects making - on a keynote he engaged over 25 cohorts for revenue
share and investment options - studies, financial forecasts, data monetisation, term sheets etc.
Mr. Sharma is currently associated with us in the capacity of Vice President, Consulting and
customer success and involved in:
° Leading customer success and consulting team with $1.5 mn revenue target.
° Launching global biosimilar tracker covering 40+ countries.
° Pricing analytics, value-based procurement, tender advisory, market access etc.

Ivor van Rensburg

Design Manager

Ivor has completed his education from Steyning Grammer School in Science. With over 15+
years of rich experience in the field of design he has helped many organizations to build a
user-friendly and highly interactive design, prior to joining us he was associated with
organizations like Virgin Holidays, IDBS, The Eventa Group, Civica etc.

A few noteworthy achievements:

● He promoted & championed User Experience within IDBS design across desktop,
mobile and web platforms.
● His designs helped to Increase day to day bookings by 12% for corporate bookings at
The Eventa Group.
● Increased target sales by 115% in the first month of launching the redeveloped Stag
Company website, as well as speed of the Hen Heaven and The Stag Company
websites by around 300%.

Ivor is currently heading the UI/UX design team and working in close collaboration with Vishesh
and the development team, his current responsibilities include Brand Development, Product
Design and research overall management of the design team.

Ivailo Zhelev
Lead Data and Machine Learning Engineer

Ivailo has completed his Bachelors in Engineering in the field of Artificial Intelligence and
Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh. He has over 20 years of experience in the
field of Software development post that he has played an elementary part in scaling
technologies for multiple organizations in different verticals.

Prior to joining us he was associated with organizations like CWT, JustGiving, Execview, where
he led the development teams and helped in shaping their technology at scale. With over 20
years of experience in Development and Managerial roles he has gained valuable knowledge.
Notably he has played an elementary role in shaping the team together and helping in the
development. Ivailo currently working in close collaboration with Richard and heading the
Machine learning team.

Tomas Jasaitis
Head of Data Science

Tomas has received his Bachelors in Business and Information systems from the Oxford
Brookes University with Honors. He has over 20 years of experience in working with
organizations across different vertices.

He started his journey as a Data Analyst and report writer with the Page Group back in 2011
and since then he has worked with JustGiving and then got associated with Vamstar. In his
previous role with JustGiving he implemented analytics in different levels and developed
numerous analytical tools to provide value to the JusiGiving platform users.
He is currently working as the Head of Data Science in Vamstar and is engaged in managing
teams working in data science projects he has also played an elementary role in enriching the
data using NLP, building the Healthcare Knowledge Graph , Matching and Discovery Engine.

Tuff Choudhary
Head of Programs & Digital Transformation

Tuff has completed his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Management from the University
of Bradford and MBA in General Management from Sheffield Hallam University. Aside from
these he holds multiple certifications in financial analysis and project management. Tuff has
over 24 years of rich experience in Business and Technology Transformation and has led some
of the largest initiatives in Europe with Global clients across industries like, Media, Healthcare,
Banking and Insurance and Governments.

Prior to joining us he was associated with organizations like, Smith and Nephew,
GroupM,Dentsu International, Ministry of Justice UK, Accenture, Oracle Corporation and IBM.
During his last role as Global Transformation Program Director with Smith and Nephew, he
managed to build up a massive ROI of £35m in savings. And a complete overhaul of the
system into a digital landscape.

Currently he is associated with us in the capacity of Program Manager and helping in the
process of digitization of Healthcare Tendering process leading a multi-disciplinary team to
ensure effective and successful delivery. He is also involved in Scope and budget management
identifying needs for digital transformation and developing effective solutions for the same and
managing the risk associated with it.
