Aim:-
To construct a Tesla coil.

Introduction:-
• A Tesla coil is a circuit that generates a
high voltage, high frequency
electromagnetic field even from hello
voltage DC source
• Slayer exciter is simplest version off
Tesla coil ah Slayer exciter requires
only some basic components
(transistor, resistor, a primary coil and
a secondary coil ) and also it does not
produce much heat because it
consumes less power.
Materials required

1. Enameled copper
wire(l=20m,d=3mm)
2. Transistor-2n2222a
3. Resistance-22kohm
4. Key
5. Cell-9v
6. PVC pipe(12cm)
7. Connecting wire
Working principle
The Slayer exciter is a high voltage setup
transformer ,with an output voltage high
enough to create search an electric field
which lightens up the fluorescent bulb.
Procedure
1. Take PVC pipe and wined 50-100 turns
of 28 G copper wire ( primary coil).
2. Apply tape and button and wined 4 to 5
turns of 22 G copper wire (secondary
coil).
3. Now remove enamel of copper wire at
end.
4. Solder 2.2 KOHM resister to the best
off 2N2222 transistor.
5. Solder bottom and wire primary coil to
the base.
6. Solder one end of secondary coil to
collector.
7. Solder positive terminal of battery clip
to switch and negative terminal to emitter
pin.
8. Now soldier another end of secondary
coil and another pin of switch to the free
end of 22 K resister.
9. Leave the top end viraf primary coil
free in air.

Circuit diagram
Result
Whenever we bring a fluorescent bulb close
to the secondary winding, after switching on
the circuit. the bulb glows producing high
intensity light as a bulb glows when
supplied AC power. It is the transmission of
electrical energy from power source to the
electric load over a distance, without usage
of wires or cables. The key parameter in
transmitting power is efficiency.
Conventional methods of transmitting power
don't have high capacity of transmitting
energy with less power loss. Long range
communication is possible which is
impossible with conventional method, is
achieved with this technology.
Uses
• They are used for reproduction of
music instead of loudspeakers.
Check out the band called
arcattack, they uses Tesla coils for
their performances.
• Tesla coil speakers are faithful in
producing high frequency sounds. This
is because of the fact that their is no
vibrating diaphragm in
them.Diaphragam in conventional
speakers are not efficient due to
mechanical inertia perhaps the Tesla
coil speakers can replace these
conventional tweeter speakers.
• Wireless induction charging is very
similar to Tesla coil but without the
arcs.
• Small Tesla coils are used in kirlian
photography.
• Modified Tesla coils are used to
generate plasma, ozone and as ion
generators.
• Small coils are used in electrotherapy
which utilizes healing effect to certain
frequency currents.

Conclusion
Doing this project we conclude that
with the help of this kind of technology,
wireless power transmission can be
made possible and this technology will
help us in eradicating the hazardous
uses of electrical wires and huge
power losses in transmission it is
envisaged that wireless energy would
be really accomplished with the
advantage of easy implementation and
cost effective that is cost of
transmission and distribution overhead
would become less. In the long run,
this could reduce our society
dependence on batteries, which are
currently heavy and expensive.
Precautions
1. Keep safe yourself from high
voltage
2. Soldier wire safely
3. Don’t touch the soldiering tip
4. Soldier under adult
supervision
