Reflection by the student:

Reflect on the lesson on the basis of the questions below:
- What are you satisfied with, when considering the pupils, yourself, and your own
development? (Personal goals and goals for the pupils)
- What advice would you give yourself for the next lesson?
- What is your new personal goal?

- I am happy that kids like making lanterns. In the end of class, they would like to go home and
try the mooncake. I felt more relaxed than last week.
- Coloring the mooncake is too much for them. Next time less paperwork. Be there earlier to
prepare the materials if I need print something.
- I want to play with kids and try to make them feel happy through learning. And I love the
saying by Miriam my mentor, “Don’t be afraid of being silly.” I wanted to be more dramtic.

Remarks by mentor:

A star and a wish (a star: things that were going fine; a wish: point for improvement)
 Your planning is clear and appropriate for this group. They are improving their cutting skills and
this was a fun way to engage the children.
 A big well done for incorporating your culture and traditions into your planning: now the students
know a little bit more about you and China! Fantastic!
 Be ready to teach: your resources need to be ready on time, before you start your lesson. Be
aware of your class time schedule and be proactive with your planning.
