General:

 The Quality of Life of Senior Citizens in the Province of Rizal: Basis for Improving Healthy and
Productive Ageing Programs (Evaluate the specific program as mandated by Republic Act 9257
(The Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2003) and Republic Act 9994 (Expanded Senior Citizen Act
of 2010)
 Give us your brief understanding of what is your study all about.
 What is your general aim (rationale)? What are your research objectives?
 Give me some of your related studies and what are their findings?
 What research gaps you identified from these studies.
 There is a need for intensive readings for this study. The Introduction, and Background are very
shallow.
 No personal attachment to the objective (you are not a senior, what is your stake other than
merely an observer?)
 What are the variables in your study? physical health, psychological health, the living
arrangement and level of independence, personal and social relationships, working capacity,
access to health and social care, home environment, transportation facilities, and the ability to
acquire new skills.

Specific:

 Many of your statements in the Introduction, and Background has no citations. 1 st paragraph is
an example. Follow the proper way of in-text citations and referencing following the APA 6 th/7th
edition. (15.6% similarities report/plagiarized). Lack of research inputs.
 There were insufficient legal mandates (national like PDP, ASEAN Summit Resolutions, UN
Conventions, SDGs related to Climate Change)
 More studies about climate change and its impact to fishery---local and foreign studies—this will
inform the reader the significance of this study
 I DON’T SEE ANY GAPS in your Background.
 (What are these gaps?) This is where you can explain the gap which is the basis of your study—
spell out. Be your theoretical framework as your reference.
 In your TF, you have so many theories but you fail to use them in illustrating your research gaps.
 Explain why use a combination of different theories in your TF? Illustrate through a flow chart of
your TF showing the flow in arrows.
 What are your variables in the theoretical framework—state these variables clearly in sentence
statement.
 Explain all the variables in your Theoretical Framework and what other variables did you add?
And where did you get the added variables, and why did you choose these variables? Explaining
this will clarify the use of your Conceptual Framework.
 DO NOT USE PARADIGM I Figure 1! Just “Conceptual Framework. A paradigm is a proven theory
but CF is still to be researched. Your TF can be a paradigm but jut your CF is a new Concept that
combines two sets of TF and/or whatever you added as a new variable OR a combination of TF
that is not yet proven.
 In your SOP, need to provide question such as “What is climate variability and change?”, and
“How are farmers affected by climate change? (General Discussion)”
 You mentioned in your definition that they are defined conceptually/operationally? Where are
the sources then?
 I don’t see any variables (profiles are not the variables) in RRL
 Method: Quality of life is best assessed by a direct interview with patients. Having family
members present when discussing preferences of a patient with cognitive impairment is
recommended.
 What will be your instruments?
