What is the student learning goal(s) for this lesson idea?

I can use Padlet to learn about the Water Cycle. I can take the Kahoot Quiz to test my knowledge on
the Water Cycle.

Students will reach the Evaluating level of Blooms Critical Thinking level by taking the Kahoot Quiz
that is going to include challenging questions. Students will have to make their own judgments on
what they learned from the Padlet.
How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:

X Teacher-led: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by
teacher direction and expectations. Learning activities are assigned to the
student and mostly practice based.

☐ Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic
of learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The
teacher facilitates the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.

☐ Problem-based and/or Publishable: Students are solving problems
and completing projects to demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the projects can be shared
outside of the classroom. (Note: This objective could be reached by displaying the project on the
school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, presenting it to another
class, or publishing via an outside source.)

Lesson idea implementation:

I will begin the lesson by saying our learning class a goal. This makes sure that all students know
what is expected of them when learning about the standard. Students will be engaged and focus
because of the structure that is built within Padlet. Padlet assures that each student has to go from
one card to another. We will be discussing recent weather. Has it been raining a lot recently? Have
there been clouds in the sky? Ect. Students will be using Kahoot to end the lesson and assess their
learning. The Kahoot provides a fun and engaging setup and easy for kids to use.
Managing student learning:

The tools I am using will be shifting my students learning from passive to active because of the
accountability of learning students will have. Students will have to be in charge of their learning by
using each resource and activity to learn from on their own.
Students will be able to talk amongst themselves to promote discussion.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

My lesson allows for action and expression for students because of the Immersive Reader tool in the
BrainPOP required readings. Students will be able to gather all the right Information even if their
reading level is not high.
Reflective Practice:

I feel as if since students are using technology tools to learn they will understand it better. Students
will be able to learn at their own pace without having to be rushed by everyone else’s learning, like a
whole group lesson. Students will be able to replay the video as many times as they need and read
over their selected reading using Immersive Reader. I am looking forward to just everyone getting to
learn at their own pace. They can take control of their own learning.
