BATTLE ROYALE - Koushun Takami

Battle Royale is a wrestling pro competition in which several people are in a ring and they
start to lose by falling, at the end, there is one winner between the last two people that stand
on the ring.

There has been a leak of information regarding Program No. 68 so the Program No.12 that
it’s about to start may be corrupted. However, it is advised that Program No.12 should be
proceeding.

0. The chapter begins with a bus full of students going into a school trip; the narrator
starts to introduce all of the students of the bus. At night, Shuya starts to feel drowsy
while he realizes that his school mates are all asleep and the bus driver is wearing a
mask. Shogo tries to open a window but he can’t and he falls asleep. The bus arrives
to the pier where the ship would transport “the players”. At the same time, Sts
families were visited by government man who warned what was going to happen with
their children. Some only nod, others protested but the government man knocked the
by an electroshock baton or killed.

1. Shuya wakes up in a room which looks like a common classroom, and he realizes that
their clothes had been changed to uniforms and that they are wearing steel collars. A
man enters into the classroom and wakes up the rest of the students, they look around
and at each other worried and surprised.

2. The students start to make lots of questions and to talk to each other. The man
introduces himself as Sakamochi and explains why they are there.

3. We learn a little bit about the Program and how the government has been taking these
program over the years, we also learn that the teacher who was against the program
got killed by three soldiers. The students start to cry and complain but every feeling
they have is silenced by the soldiers shooting the teacher’s dead body.

4. Shuya starts to think about the program and the rules, every inhabitant of The
Republic of Greater East Asia knew about the program, but there was no extra
information of how it was conducted. Yoshitoki gets killed after realizing that
Sakamochi raped the woman that brought him and Shuya up. Noriko gets shoot in
her leg trying to help Yoshitoki. Fumiyo got killed by a knife thrown to her forehead
as she was whispering with a friend.

5. Rules are being set up, Sts have to kill each other, there should be at least one death
within 24 hours or all of them get killed. They are given backpacks with food, water
and weapons. They are on an island and they can go wherever they want, but at
certain point there should be some areas that’ll be prohibited, so they have to make
sure that they are not in those areas. There will be 4 announcements each day, telling
the deaths and the prohibited areas. They have a steel collar that controls their pulse
 and location within the island, if they took it off, are in a forbidden area or there is no
death in 24 hours, the collars will explode. Sakamochi makes them write three times
“We will kill each other” and “If I don’t kill, I will be killed”

6. The program began as soon as they exited the classroom, 20 minutes after all of the
students were out of the classroom the school would be a forbidden area. Sakamochi
got a number to see what student would leave first and then they would follow the
correct order, every two minutes; a student would leave the classroom. When Shuya’s
turn came, he asked to close Yoshitoki’s eyes and when he did, he whispered Noriko
to see if she could walk and told her that he would wait for her outside. Shinji saw
Shuya’s gesture. Shuya left the classroom.

7. Shuya walks down the corridor to leave the school, he sees some other soldiers in a
classroom near the exit. When he leaves, he finds the dead body of Mayumi Tendo
on the floor with an arrow on her back and he is shot with an arrow, he realizes that
one of his friends is trying to kill him too, so he finds him and throws the arrow back
at him and he falls unconscious. Shuya discovers that it is Yoshio Akamatsu. Noriko
finally shows up and Shuya grabs her arm and start to run into the grove.

8. Yoshio regains consciousness but he feels dizzy, he remembers everything and starts
to look for his weapon, when someone shot him in the back. He fell dead.

9. Kazushi Niida was the next student to leave the school; he found Mayumi and
Yoshio’s bodies on the floor, when Yoshio got up Kazushi shot him with Yohio’s
weapon, before leaving the corpses, Kazushi picked up both day packs.

10. Shuya and Noriko stops in the middle of the grove, Shuya disinfects and does a
bandage to Noriko’s leg. Shuya looks for the day packs and weapons; he finds a
boomerang in Noriko’s bag and a knife in his bag. Both of them start talking about
the program and the people they trust. At the end, they decide to move to a better
place to stay the night.

11. Mitsuru Numai heads to the southern tip of the island looking for his group, as he
walks towards his target, he remembers how did he met Kazuo Kiriyama the leader
of his group. Mitsuru met Kazuo in elementary school, Mitsuru being a bully got
into a fight that only Kazuo could finish, since that day Mitsuru made Kazuo the
leader of his band. Kazuo was the king and Mitsuru was sure that he had already
planned their scape. But, when Mitsuru arrives to the destination, he meets with
Kazuo and the corpses of the rest of their gang (Ryuhei Sasagawa and Hiroshi
Kuronaga) and also Izumi Kanai. Kazuo explains that Sasagawa and Kuronaga
tried to kill him, so he defended himself from them. Finally, Kazuo explains that he
threw a coin and the fate was that he was going to join to the game. Mitsuru realizes
that Kazuo will kill him and so he does. Kazuo had no feelings at all.

12. On the Northern side of the island Sakura Ogawa and Kazuhiko Yamamoto were
sitting at the edge of the cliff. They were talking about the Program and how they
were not in favour of it, how they couldn’t be a part in taking their classmates lives
away and also how in love they were. They had been dating for two years but they
loved each other so much that when they heard someone approaching to them, they
jumped off the cliff into the black see. Yukie Utsumi who made the sound stood
perplexed and trembling of what she had seen.

13. Megumi Eto was hiding in a house, she was pretty frightened about the situation she
and her classmates where living, so she hide begging to stay there as long as she
could, she was definitely not going to kill anyone. She realized she had a phone and
she called her house, but instead Sakamochi answered the phone. Once she ends the
call, she hears that someone else is breaking into the house where she is, she starts to
panic and grabs her weapon, a knife, waiting to not be found. However, when the
intruder arrives to the kitchen, where Megumi was hiding, her phone starts to ring.
Sakamochi calls Megumi back to warn to put her phone in silent mode. Mitsuko
found Megumi and tried to reach her, she asked Megumi to stay with her that she
was scared. Megumi tells Mitsuko that she thought of killing her, Mitsuko tries to
calm her telling that is okay and that the game makes people think in that way, they
hug each other and then Mitsuko kills Megumi (she cuts her throat) telling her that
she was also thinking about killing her.

14. The first night passed by, Shuya and Noriko had some rest. Shuya found the place
where they were in the map, he started to study the places where they could go in
order to not be found. He thought about the rules and how many hours they had until
the next death. He wishes some of their classmates were death so that would give
them more time. Noriko and Shuya talk about the end and about committing suicide
in case they reach the end of the game. Suddenly Sakamochi's voice rings in the air.

15. Sakamochi announces the deaths up to that time and also the forbidden areas for the
next following hours. Once he finishes, Shuya and Noriko start to hear a sound
coming to the places where they are hiding. They decide to move and some minutes
after that, they realize that the sound was a cat. Now in their new place, a foot trail,
where they found Tatsumichi Oki.

16. Tatsumichi stood still, looking at them with a hatchet on his hand. He run towards
Shuya trying to kill him with his weapon, Shuya who can't believe his behaviour
doesn't defend himself and gets a cut in his arm. Tatsumichi is decided to kill them,
they start fighting, Shuya receives another cut from the hatchet. They began to
wrestle, Shuya holding Tatsumichi's wrists as far as he could and they fell from a
slope, when Shuya stands up, he realized that Tatsumichi is dead, the hatchet was in
the middle of his face. Shuya realizes that he had killed a classmate. Looking around,
he meets another classmate Kyoichi Motobuchi holding a gun.

17. Kyoichi shot at Shuya, who ducked backwards. Kyoichi missed but he didn't give up.
The second time that Kyoichi prepared to shoot his gun, Shogo appeared holding a
shotgun. Shogo asks Kyoichi to stop, but Kyoichi shoots at Shogo while Shogo shoots
him back. Kyoichi loses his hand with the gun, but he manages to grab the gun with
the other hand, now Shogo shoota him again killing him. Noriko appears and explains
Shogo that she and Shuya are together, Shogo joins the team.

18. Yuko Sakaki saw the scene where Shuya killed Tatsumichi and grabbed the hatchet
from his face. She freaks out and starts to run in the opposite direction hearing gun
shots.

19. Shuya, Noriko and Shogo return to a safer place, Shuya starts freaking out about him
killing a classmate. The three of them start talking and Shogo tells Shuya that he has
to put those feelings behind him. That is what the game is about, he will have to kill
classmates in order to not be killed. Shogo makes a primitive alarm system in order to
be aware of there are any other classmates near. Shogo states that being in a group
would give them better chances to survive, so they accord to be loyal one another.

20. Yumiko and Yukiko hid in a building at north. They had been friends since
kindergarten and they shared everything. Talking Yukiko says that she loves Shuya
and Yumiko remains in silence, she loves Shuya too. Thay can't bear in mind how
their classmates are killing each other and they led to the conclusion that it's because
they are terrified of what the rest may think. They think of a plan, using a megaphone
to recall their classmates and not kill each other.

21. Shogo stitch up Norikos wound. Then, Shogo, Shuya and Noriko start talking about a
plan to leave the game and the island. Shuya tells his plan about taking Sakamochi as
a hostage and then escaping. Shogo tells them that it won't work and he tells them that
he has a plan but for it to work the three of them have to be the only survivors. They
argue about it because Shuya wants to join the most people they can. At the end, they
hear some distorted voices.

22. Yumiko's voice could be heard through the wood, Shogo, Shuya and Noriko head
towards the east to hear better the voice. Yumiko and Yukiko were on a platform
asking everyone to stop fighting and join them. Shuya wanted to go and warned them
about being the perfect target where they were but Shogo didnt aloud him to go.
Instead, Shogo pulled the trigger of his shotgun to the sky twice to make the girls be
scared and hide. But they continue to talk through the megaphone. Suddenly a loud
noise was heard and both girls were wounded.

23. Yukiko, being wounded in her stomach crawled towards Yumiko; she had fallen
forward facing Yukiko. Yukiko wants to run for shelter but she realizes that she
doesn't have the strength. The two girls start to talk about how they met and Yukiko
 tells Yumiko she also had a crush on Shuya. While they're saying goodbye, a gun hits
Yumiko’s right temple. Yukiko heard another pop and a blow to her head. Kazuo
Kiriyama killed both girls and stole their day packs.

24. After the shots, Shogo tells Shuya and Noriko that it's over, and they have to move
and find another position because the one who killed the girls may know where they
are. Shuya and Noriko calls Shogo insensitive but Shogo responds that it's his
personality.

25. Yukata Seto was running down the slope, after some minutes thinking he wanted to
join Yumiko and Yukiko until they got killed, then he wanted to run away as fast as
possible, when he gets caught on his back by Shinji. They were best friends, Shinji
leads Yukata to his hiding place and both talk about wanting to help the girls before
getting killed.

26. Shuya, Noriko and Shogo moved southwest, when they decided to settle, Shogo
installed an alarm system and they sat to rest. Shuya and Noriko wonder why can't
they know the plan, and Shogo tells them that he doesn't want anyone to know it just
yet. Shogo also comments that he knows the game perfectly; he was the survivor of
the last year game. When he won, he was transferred.

27. Shogo tells about the program and the several injuries that led him stay in the hospital
for a long time so he repeated third year. He is again in the game because a computer
randomly selects the course. That's why he knew about the gas and the flaw of the
program.

28. .At the school Sakamochi and some soldiers are supervising the game. Sakamochi
receives a call from the superintendent, they talk about the bets they have. The
superintendent says Shogo would win, Sakamochi's is with Kazuo. Shogo's father was
killed by the government on his previous game. They did not have a good relationship
Sakamochi’s thought. (They know the exact location point and can hear the students
conversations.)

29. Shinji and Yutaka are hidden in Shinji's place. They start talking and Yutaka cries
because of Izumi Kanai, he wants to kill Sakamochi and the government. Shinji
reminds of his uncle who taught him lots of things about life and about the
government. He always said Shinji to be very careful about his steps in life. He died
in an uncertain way two years ago. But Shinji learnt to be against the nation and its
rules. They continue talking and try to think about joining another classmates to their
cause. Shinji saw several of their classmates through the night, but he was looking for
Yutaka first. They decided to look for Shuya and Noriko who they suppose they are
together. Shinji gets into some close bushes and grabs a kind of computer.

30. It was 10 am and Yoshimi was in a forbidden zone, one more hour and she would
explode. She thought of going to the southern mountain and hide there, on her way,
 she heard some noises coming near her. Once she saw who was making that sound
she screamed with joy it was Yoji, his love and the one who understood her beside her
friends. Yoji saw her and run to kiss her, they talked about where they had been and
about their weapons. Yoshimi had a gun that gave to Yoji so he could defend both of
them, she was excited, she had now a companion. Yoji studied the gun, and asked
Yoshimi for extra bullets, once the gun was correctly loaded, he pointed the gun
towards her, Yoshimi couldn't believe what was happening. She asked Yoji to not kill
her, she reminded him all of their time together and at the end, she kneeled asking
Yoji to kill her. Yoji couldn't do it but he shot the gun because Mitsuko, Yoshimi's
friend who was watching everything, shot Yoji in the back and killed him. Yoshimi
couldn't believe that her best friend had killed the love of her life and started shouting
against her, when Mitsuko shot the gun and killed Yoshimi too.

31. Shogo, Shuya and Noriko sat down and start chatting about the country, Shogo tells a
story how their country wasn't the same 80 years ago, and that they became a
dictatorship in which they wouldn't/couldn't spoke against the government because
they would be killed. Shuya and Noriko start to understand why things like the game
still happen and how people do not talk anything against it. Shogo is sure that history
will change the government and dictatorships in their country, but he says that it won't
occur anytime soon.

32. Shinji, having the knowledge and now the tools, started to hack the communication
line that Sakamochi and the government had to communicate in order to control some
key functions of the collars and try to escape the island. As he is telling Yukata all of
this, the connection failed and there was no other way to connect again. Shinji was
speechless.

33. Hiroki Sugimura was in the residential area, it was about the time in which it will
began to be a forbidden zone, he was trying to leave when he saw on his radar another
student inside a house, he went silently to check on that when he found Megumi's
body. He felt relieved that there wasn't the girl he was looking for.

34. Shogo looks at Shuya and tells him to stop overthinking everything, their goal was
only to be the survivors. Then Shogo asks why Sakamochi told him that he was
against the government. Shuya replied that it was because he was in favour of rock,
which was forbidden in their country. They start talking about rock bands, songs and
their meanings. Shuya states that rock is a positive and powerful tool to get people
against the government. He is sure that it's the reason why it is forbidden.

35. Kaori Minami was sat near the groove, she was all alone since age didn't trust anyone
to join, so she was all the time scared by the noises she heard, she was starting to lose
her mind. She started to hear more and more sounds, she looked at her back and there
was Hiroki, she aimed at him and shot her gun, Hiroki started running and she did the
same in the opposite direction. She always believed that Hiroki wanted to kill her, she
was losing her mind.

36. Sakamochi's voice is again heard, the count gives 6 more deaths and 3 more forbidden
zones, then Sakamochi cheer them up. Shogo and Shuya start doing a breakfast, when
they realize that Noriko is pale and with a fever. They make her eat, give some
medicine and let her rest covered with extra coats. Shogo tells Shuya that her wound
may be infected.

37. Takako leaves the residential area, she is a star runner so she is fast, as she continues
going up the mountain he finds Kazushi who wants Takako to stay with him. He has
intentions to rape Takako, she realizes this so she wants to run away ASAP Kazushi
doesn't allow that so they start to fight and finally Takako kills Kazushi, she puts her
fingers inside Kazushi's eyes and then she sticks her ice pick inside Kazushi's throat.
When she finally kills Kazushi, she hears another voice, is Mitsuko, who plays a nice
girl trying to help Takako but at the end she shoots her 3 times on her back.

38. Noriko was worse every minute that passed away, Shuya recalls seeing a Medixal
center in the map, so he wants to go and try to cure Noriko. Shogo says it's too
dangerous to go right now, that they have to wait until it gets dark, but Shuya doesn't
want to wait. He is leaving with Noriko and Shogo agrees to go.

39. Takako was lying on the ground, but she wasn't dead yet. She was half dreaming half
aware of the reality; she was saying goodbye to all of her loved ones in her dreaming,
when she heard a familiar voice. Hiroki had found her, and Takako couldn't be
happier, at least she wasn't dying alone. She had a crush on Hiroki since they were
kids and he didn't know. Takako died in Hiroki's arms.

40. Shogo, Shuya and Noriko were moving towards the medical center. They were
halfway when they heard gun shots near them. Shuya was worried so he had to go and
check. He saw Kaori and Hirono, in a farm area shooting at each other. Shuya yelled
to stop and both girls looked at Shuya's direction, but Hirono shot Kaori twice killing
her and run away. Shuya went to Kaoris body when Shogo and Noriko appeared.
Shuya was perplexed so Shogo grabbed Kaori's weapon and daypack and continued to
the clinic.

41. Shogo, Noriko and Shuya found the clinic and they got inside, as Shogo Shogo
doesn't know what Noriko has he tests to medicines in her arm, but finally he decided
to go for septicemia and he injected one of the medicine in Noriko's arm. Then he told
Shuya to let her sleep and drink the whole bottle of water if she wanted to. Shogo
discovered a well on the back of the clinic, they could boil water and have as many as
they wanted.

42. Noriko fell asleep and Shuya and Shogo started chatting in the kitchen, Shogo was
cooking some rice and boiling some water. They talked about their childhood, their
families and about Yoshitoki, he was an unwanted child who ended up in the
orphanage, but he loved Noriko.

43. Shinji and Yutaka are still trying to make the internet connection work. Shinji realized
that the collars had a hearing device and that's why he couldn't connect anymore. So
he started to plan something, but now he would communicate to Yutaka by writing.
They aim to building a bomb and kill everyone at school. Shinji has advantage; he has
filled with virus some of the data he had collected, so he know that collars won't be
working soon. They made a plan to get everything they need in order to build the
bomb.

44. Sho, a former member of the "Kiriyama Family" was following Kazuo, his former
leader, he knew that if he followed Kazuo he would had greater chances to get to the
end of the game and then killing him. His plan was perfect, so he saw and knew about
Kazuo's victims. He was sat on the roof of the farmhouse when he saw Kazuo going
up to the mountain, he followed him until Kazuo got into a bathroom in a rest area.
He waited there some minutes after he checked his watch, it was going to be a
forbidden zone in some minutes, he assumed that Kazuo knew that the toilet wasn't in
the border of the forbidden zone, yet when he approached the bathroom, he realized
that Kazuo wasn't there, and at that time he felt a vibration through his body.

45. Noriko woke up, she slept for some hours and at that time, Sakamochi had given an
announcement, the clinic would be a forbidden zone at 11 PM. They boys and Noriko
are some rice and soup and they had extra time to rest before continuing moving.
Noriko tells Shuya that some of the girls had a crush on him, and Shuya tells Noriko
that he knows about someone who had a crush on her. They chat while Shogo goes to
have some rest.

46. Hirono was hidden in the woods, before killing Kaori she ran away and hid, she had a
bullet wound, she was pretty ill and her body was septicemic. She needed water, and
she needed badly. She start moving when she saw a house and she found it had a well,
she could have some water, she was dehydrated. She run and made sure there was no
one near the house, she waited for someone to appear and then she went to grab some
water. Some minutes later she saw Toshinori standing on some steps, he had a belt
and started to fight Hirono, who shot three times at his stomach. He fell on his face
and Hirono relieved went inside to grab Toshinori's day pack. She drank a whole
bottle of water when she began to choke. Toshinori, was asphyxiating Hironi with his
belt. Some minute after Hironi was dead, Toshinori left her free and felt relieved for
having a bulletproof vest.

47. It was night now, Shinji and Yukata had grabbed every thing and element they needed
so they went to a hill to get a better view, they had to throw a rope through the school,
it was almost 300 meters and obviously none of them could. So Shinji invented a kind
of helium balloons in order to help them get wires and then the rope through the
school as they needed. Being dark was beneficial because the balloons couldn't be
seen.

48. It was 10 PM Shogo woke up and Noriko was up too, she asks for warm water to
clean herself. When Shuya goes to the kitchen with Shogo, he hears something and
Shuya goes to grab Noriko. The person outside is Hiroki he is looking for Kayoko.
They try to convince Hiroki to stay with them, but he refuses and goes to look for
Kayoko. When he leaves Shogo makes a plan for them to reunite if he needs it.

49. Shogo, Noriko and Shuya are on their way to find another good place, it's night time
so they can walk without worrying someone would see them, they are heading to the
west when they find a two story house with concrete walls. At that time Noriko sees
something floating to their direction.

50. Shuya jumped and grabbed one of the floating bombs and threw it as far as possible, it
blew with a very loud sound, and Shuya thought he was deaf. Another bomb came
down the sky and this time Shogo shot his gun towards the bomb. But they weren't
alone; Kazuo appeared and started to shot the trio with his machine gun. They were
losing, so Shuya told Shogo to grab Noriko and go to their place. He would make
some time and then would run as fast as he could towards their place. When Shuya
starts running some of the bullets hurt him and as he is going up the mountain he falls
and faints.

51. Shinji and Yutaka are hidden in a farm, they had been planning their attack to the
school building for several hours now, they had everything set and Shinji was
finishing building the detonator of the bomb. Once they were ready they head to put
their plan in action, they had to place a rope over the school so they had to get to the
mountain where they would attach the rope to a wire and try to get the rope in their
position. When they left the farm cooperative building they saw Keita, a friend of
them, but Shinji didn't trust him, they had been in a situation in which Keita left Shinji
alone on a fight, so Shinji told him to leave, and as Keita didn't want to leave, Shinji
shot Keita and killed him. Yutaka was really upset with Shinji's reaction and they
started talking without caring about they were out and a perfect target. Kazuo
appeared, shot Yutaka and and a bullet reach Shinji who attacked Kazuo back with his
gun, but he didn't got Kazuo. So he run inside the farm, Kazuo did too and started to
shot everything. Shinji grabbed the bomb, kicked it towards Kazuo, left the building
and hit the detonator. It made a huge explosion but Kazuo didn't die, instead of that,
Kazuo shot Shinji to death.

52. Shogo and Noriko are writing for Shuya in the northern west side of the island. He
neither arrived yet nor was he on Sakamochi's announcement. Noriko wants to go to
look after him, but Shogo refuses, he says that he has a feeling that he is not dead.

53. Hiroki was still looking for Kayoko, he was wondering through places he had been
before, he saw the farm where Shinji, Yutaka and Keita had been killed, he also heard
Kazuo and his machine gun. But on his way through the west side of the island he
found Mitsuko, Hiroki made some karate movements and took her gun. He had
Mitsuki's gun how and was pointing to her, she told him that she was innocent and
 killing was the rule. Hiroki couldn't understand. While Mitsuko was telling a story of
how she was raped by 3 men when she was 9, she grabbed a knife and stuck it into
Hiroki's shoulder, then she ran away.

54. Toshinori left the house where he was hiding minute before it came a forbidden zone,
he looked in the map and decided to go to the residential area where he could be
hidden inside a house. On his way there he found Hiroki and Toshinori starts shooting
with his gun, but Hiroki managed to run away, when Toshinori makes sure that Hiroki
is not longer there, he starts moving towards the house, but he sees Kazuo. Kazuo
attacks him, but as Toshinori has a bulletproof vest, he is not wounded, but he plays
as if he is dead. However Kazuo walks towards Toshinori and shots him in his head.
Now Toshinori is dead.

55. Mitsuko was hiding in the northern mountain when she heard a sound, she got close
and found Tadakatsu who was peeing, she decided to go and kill him using her sickle,
but when she was about to kill him, Yuichiro appeared warning Tadakatsu, who
pointed his gun towards Mitsuko, she made her angelic face to convince them she
wasn't going to kill them. At the end, Tadakatsu let's her join but Yuichiro has to
revise her and also tie her hands.

56. Tadakatsu was sleeping now, he had made some turns for them to sleep and he was
the first, Mitsuko and Yuichiro stayed awake and chatting, Mitsuko with her angelical
voice and face was trying to win Yuichiro's confidence and she was getting it. She
was good at making boys trust her. Yuichiro offers Mitsuko some water and he untied
her hands so she could drink.

57. Tadakatsu woke up when Sakamochi's announcement was heard, he slept for 2 hours
but that was enough, so the next turn was Yuichiro. Once he fell asleep Mitsuko
convinced Tadakatsu that she was scared and wanted to have sex, they went some
place away from Yuichiro, and as they started, Mitsuko grabbed a razor blade from
her underwear and tried to kill Tadakatsu but she failed, so he tried to shot her. She
run towards Yuichiro's direction and played the angelic card, so Yuichiro would
protect her. When Tadakatsu came he wanted to kill Mitsuko but he ends up killing
Yuichiro and the Mitsuko kills Tadakatsu with the bat.

58. Shuya was dreaming about going to the school and entering the classroom and all of
the members of his class were dead. He actually wakes up and he sees Yukie helping
him.

59. Shuya woke up and started talking with Yukie, Shuya told everything that he had seen
up to the moment they found him, and also Yukie told him that they were in a
Lighthouse and that there were six of them Yuka, Satomi, Chisato, Haruka and Yuko.
Shuya tells Yukie that he knows how to find Shogo and Noriko and to join to their
plan. Yukie offers him food, but lets him locked up in the room, someone doesn't trust
Shuya.

60. The girls where in the kitchen cooking some stew Haruka and Yuko were talking
about how Yuko saw Shuya killing Tatsumichi, but Haruka said that could be for self
defense. Yukie comes to the kitchen and tells everybody that Shuya is awake.

61. The girls were happy except Yuko, she had felt that there was a threat, the same
feeling she had as a child when her stepfather was alive (he beat up her mother,
brother and herself) so she had a little secret that didn't tell any of the other girls, she
took a tiny bottle from her daypack and started to remove the lid.

62. Yuko got the poison in which was Shuya's dish. But before giving to him, Yuka had a
taste of it, she got poisoned, she started to vomit blood all over and stopped breathing.
The girls stared at each other and Satomi started to distrust the other girls, she was
pointing the gun towards the girls asking who wanted to kill all of them. Chisato
moved to grab a gun, but Satomi shot her and killed her, the other girls couldn't
believe what was happening. Haruka tells Yukie to shoot Satomi, and when she
wants to do it, Satomi kills Yukie first, Haruka wanting to get the gun Yukie had, was
shot by Satomi too. Haruka, wounded grabs the gun and shots Satomi. Yuko couldn't
believe what just happened, because of her.

63. Shuya heard all of the gunshots, he needed to go out and see what was happening, but
he was locked up in that room, he kicked the door but nothing happened, so he pushed
the bed against the door, one time, it made a crack, one more time and he could be
out. When he was out, he went to the kitchen where he saw the body of the girls, the
only survivor was Yuko who grabbed a gun but when she fell down Shuya took the
gun away from her, so she ran away. Shuya followed her.

64. Yuko was finding a steel stair to escape, she was now at the top of the light house, so
she could see the adjacent building where the girls were dead, she tried to escape by
jumping, but was too risky, she was so close to the balcony that she slid down, but she
could hang on from the border. Shuya came and tried to save her, that's when Yuko
told Shuya it was her fault, she tried to poison him. Shuya was doing his best to grab
Yuko and get her safe, but he could and Yuko fall down.

65. Hiroki heard the gunshots coming from the lighthouse and he had to check who was
there, as he went in he saw the small room Shuya was in and then the body of the 5
girls dead in the kitchen, none of them were Kayoko, so he checked the girl who was
dead in the roof, that wasn't Kayoko neither. On his way out of the lighthouse, he saw
a human figure appearing, it was Kazuo with his machinegun, he locked himself in
the kitchen, but Kazuo was able to get in, with his stick and his karate movements
Hiroki unarmed Kazuo three times and he was also able to shoot 8 times to Kazuo's
stomach, but Kazuo was using a bulletproof vest. So when Kazuo got up, he stuck a
knife into Hironi's stomach. Some more karate movements and Hironi run away as he
heard Kazuo's gunshots.

66. Shuya was walking and grabbing wood to start some fire, he had grabbed all of the
guns in the lighthouse. He was still walking when it started rain, so he put the wood
aside and continue walking towards the place where Shogo and Noriko could be,
some minutes passed by and he heard a bird chirping, he through that bird's wouldn't
be out in the rain, so he looked at his watch, it could be Shogo's bird call. 15 minutes
later another bird sound, it was Shogo, he was close to find them, when he found two
corpses that had been eaten by some birds, Shuya felt nauseous and vomit, just when
Shogo found him.

67. Shogo, Shuya and Noriko are back together, they arrive to the palace where they are
hiding and Shogo build a kind of roof to prevent them get wet, Noriko cooks a soup
and Shuya starts eating. They talk about the lighthouse and how Shuya then heard
Kazuo's machinegun at the lighthouse. They wonder why is he like that, Shogo
reminds knowing about people like Kazuo, without feelings. Then they wonder why
Hiroki is desperately looking at Kayoko.

68. Kayoko was hiding near the northern mountain, she had been alone since the game
started and she was terrified. She was remaining the boy that she loved, when
someone approached to her. Hiroki called her name, but she was too afraid that ran
away, as Hiroki was following her, she shot Hiroki in his chest, Hiroki fell but before
dying he told Kayoko he was in love with her, and the way that she had to find Shogo,
Shuya and Noriko. Kayoko was really sad about what she had done, and didn't want
to continue going. Mitsuko appeared and shot Kayoko. Now Mitsuko knew about the
fire and the bird call, but she heard the sound of the machinegun.

69. Mitsuko was shot in her back, although she managed to turn around and see Kazuo,
she aimed to him, but Kazuo shot again, now on the floor, Mitsuko shot Kazuo to his
stomach, but the bullets didn't so anything.

70. Mizuho was hidden in some close bushes and saw everything that had just happened,
she was determined to kill Kazuo. He was sitting arranging some piles of wood to
make a fire, when Mizuho started walking towards him, but Kazuo without looking
for turning around shot two times and killed Mizuho. (Mizuho was hallucinating with
some comic)

71. Shogo, Shuya and Noriko where fooling around, they had heard some gunshots but
they were far away. Suddenly Shogo stands up, he has seen some fire, so they think
Hiroki might be alive, they send the bird signal and wait there. They do not know
what they will encounter.

72. The group is still waiting for the person to come, Shogo is still doing the bird calls.
Shogo asks them where are they going to go when the game is over, and Shuya and
Noriko tell that going to America would be the best. Shogo says he is staying and
 getting the payback from the government as they killed his girlfriend last game.
Shogo shows a picture of Keiko and tells them the story.

73. Noriko and Shuya try to convince Shogo to live and to go with them to America,
when Sakamochi's voice started to be heard. The announcement was on and Hiroki,
who they believed was alive, was dead.

74. Shogo realized that Kazuo was coming so they were about to ran away when Kazuo
arrived, they started to go south and Kazuo followed them shooting his machinegun,
Shogo shot back. They had been running until Noriko got stuck with wire, Kazuo had
made some tramps for them to follow. They continue running until they see some cars
they jump in one of them and start its engine. They escape, but Kazuo follows them in
a minivan, while they are driving and shooting at each other, Shuya and Shogo ran out
of bullets, but they are close to the farmhouse where they had fought Kazuo before.
So they get down the car, find their weapons and shot Kazuo, Shogo thinks he is dead
but Kazuo gets up and shots him back. Noriko shots Kazuo on the head and he falls.

75. Shogo led their way to the mountains, he had picked up and put the guns on his day
pack. As they reached the top point of the mountain, Shogo showed them some lights
at the far, those light were their city. Shogo told to enjoy the view and say goodbye
because they wouldn't see home never again. Shogo recall them saying that maybe his
intention was to make a group and the maybe killed them, Shogo pointed the gun at
them.

76. Shogo told them how he invented everything and that he was going to win the game
again, Shuya and Noriko wondered if that was a plan to see if they were worth to
trust. But in the end, Shogo pulled the trigger twice.

77. Shogo was on the winner ship now, he was in a room when Sakamochi entered, as he
knew in that ship where only travelling Sakamochi and 3 soldiers. Sakamochi was
telling Shogo how someone had broken into the government's program and had
hacked the computer, how he knew that the collars could be deactivated, so he wasn't
sure that he had killed Shuya and Noriko, and because of that there was a helicopter
going to the island to throw some poisonous gas to kill them. Sakamochi was about to
kill Shogo, when they heard outside the sound of a machinegun. Shogo grabbed
Sakamochi's gun and he stood behind him and stubbed him, then he left the room
where he found Shuya and Noriko.
78. Shogo told Shuya how to drive the boat, how he had to move the controls in order to
get to a near island. Shogo faints.
79. Shogo was dying because of the wound that Kazuo's shot made him.
