OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:

1. To know the procedure followed by the various departments related to managing of the inventory.

2. To know the method`s and techniques of the inventory management.

3. To know the maintenance of the stock level.

4. To know the recent changes in inventory management.

5. To know the relationship between working capital and inventory management.

ISSUE/PROBLEM OF THE REPORT:

 Transport delay in reaching came to factory.

 Low yield of sugarcane.

 High cost of production.

 Regional imbalance in distribution.

 Farmer facing problem with the price of sugarcane.

 Sugarcane harvesting price is high by the harvester.

 Low sugar recovery rate.

 Changes in government policy and control impacts on farming a sugarcane.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

Resource methodology is the way to systematically solve the resource problem. In methodology, we
study not only the methods or techniques in studying research problem but also logic behind them.

Methodology is the way in which the data is collected, analysed, and interpreted the tools for collection of
data for present project are primary and secondary data the information furnished in this report has been
collected from primary data as well as secondary data.

1. Primary data :-

The primary data is a data collected directly by the research for first time is collected by interview and
observation and department members and other officials of the company

2. Secondary data:-

The secondary data however obtained from annual report of the company statement of a company and
web, text books.

ANALYSIS:

 Physical verification of material is done before storing in the warehouse.

 To sale the sugar tender is invited, the person who quote highest price can purchase the sugar at
quoted price.

 The sugar is sold 20% levy i.e. central government allotment & 80% to open market.

 The factory is using bin card system for maintenance the space parts.

 The factories production of sugar is increasing from year to year.

 The factory is doing all the activities according to the manual.

CONCLUSION:

It has been an excellent opportunity for me to carry out the study on inventory management at SSL
Soundatti. It has helped to a great extent to have an insight into the particular realities of the subject.
This project of inventory management in the manufacturing concern is not merely a work of the project.
But a brief knowledge and experience of that how to analyse the financial performance of the firm.
