Special leaf chains with plastic guides

Leaf chains with externally positioned plastic tube guides are generally used in forklifts as load chains. The plastic link
plates are usually mounted on the outside of the pins and have following effect: W hen the unavoidable vibration or
jamming of the chain occurs, the chain links will not hit the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder, but the protruding plastic link
plates. This means th a t neither chain or cylinder are damaged. The plastic coverings are also available as inside-positioned,
T, U or L form ed coverings.
Advantages of the technically enhanced leaf chains
• Higher fatigue strenght due to optimized press fit pin and outer link plates
• Higher tensile strenght due to optimized plate strenght
• Higher wear resistance due to higher surface hardness of the pins (> 5 2 HRC)
• Enhanced emergency running properties due to ground pin surfaces and special lubricants
• High fitting accuracy due to limiting the tolerances w hen* using cold rolled strips fo r all link plates
• Higher reliability by AVIS (Autom atic Visual Inspection) fo r securing the full link plate number and arrangem ent
as well as controlling the link plate thickness
