ABSTRACT:
The main aim of this paper is PV array battery charger for EV by using sepic
converter and bidirectional DC-DC converter. In this study, the battery charging system is
discussed in detail as it relates to the development of electric vehicles. Charging an electric
vehicle's battery from the grid raises its load demand. As a result, this study proposes a
photovoltaic (PV) array-based off-board EV battery charging solution.
The backup battery charges alongside the EV battery during peak sunlight hours,
while the backup battery assists the charging of the EV battery during non-sunny hours.
Simulink in the MATLAB software is used to simulate the proposed charging system.
