depends on your data center/home world + your own
dedication
smalls are pretty cheap at ~3 million gil per plot and if
you're on a lower population world you can probably
grab one without too much competition
much, much, much less likely to pick up a medium or
large
if you don't enter your house for 45 days, it gets auto
demo'd and the plot gets relinquished, so it's
sometimes referred to as a trap
if you just want an apartment, which will never auto
demolish, you can just buy one without issue for 500k
gil, or an fc room at your fc's house (if they own one)
for 300k

No, you really can't. I've done my
relics pretty much solo. At most I
2.64 MB PNG queue into content, drop my macro,
do the content, maybe drop some
banter during, and then leave and never talk to
anyone from it again. I can put in as much or as little
effort as I want, either chart-topping as a Duelist HS
Font DRG, or AFKing through it as Ordained/Profane
WHM with Banish.

You think I'd do relic farming if every run of DR

required me to join a PF as the right job, pop food,
and then spend 60 minutes wiping on Trinity Seeker
while trying my absolute hardest? Fuck no bro, not a
chance in hell. That's literally all raiding is and the
rewards are even worse than relic grinding because I
can get cold cash from spamming DR. Got 3 EtRs
and 2 Gabriels sitting in my inventory right now
waiting for EW, that's pure money. As for glam the last
time I was wowed by raid gear was the Midan Mask
and a couple of the Diamond Weapons, while I love
several of the relics and Law's Order sets. Item level
is completely useless for everything except doing the
same shit you just did.

Small housing is relatively cheap, I'm pretty sure that
just by doing the MSQ you'll have more than enough
for a Small house, but that's not the issue with getting
a house.
When a plot becomes available for sale you can't just
walk up to it and buy it, the plot gets a hidden timer
that goes on for hours, maybe even over a day, and
you basically have to camp the plaque together with
20 other people who are doing the same, and pray to
everything that you hold dear that you're the one to
get the place. Assuming that is that some random
person, who already owns a house, doesn't relocate
to the plot you camped for hours, as relocations
bypass the hidden timer.
