    1. The elastomeric seal will be continuous throughout the length of the joint. 2. The grade of concrete for the second stage concrete should be at least M40, and a suitable bonding agent must be used to ensure bonding between the old and new concrete. 3. Adequate reinforcement should be provided in the recess where the joints are anchored in PCC or it may be inadequate and the performance cannot be guaranteed.
