Question 1:
One vital concept of reading comprehension is to evaluate texts. Two passages have
been given to evaluate the writer’s intention regardging running on a treadmill. Anwer
the multiple choice questions given below.

I) How would you describe this author's attitude towards the treadmill in Passage 1?
Ans: d) Formal

II) How would you describe this author's attitude towards the treadmill in Passage 2?
Ans: b) Negative

III) In passage 1, imagination of the author, “the red squares as burning coals” shows that.
Ans: c) It does not sound pleasant.

IV) In passage 2, "heart sped up faster than the belt could" shows.
Ans: a) Intensity

V) In passage 2, “they got me to run farther and faster than I could ever run when I'm
outside” shows.

Q2: Describing the Picture.

The picture is like describing an unreality of any sort of situation. Imagining a Rhinoceros at
the edge of the building terrace is just unreal. But let it be. It seems like very tall building as
we can see small towns at the background.

Rhino seems to be at the edge of one building and there is a ladder type resting it other edge
on the next building laying down. Rhino may want to go to the next building by ladder but is
thinking that rather it would be a right decision or not?
Another side of the picture may be that Rhino is at the terrace of XYZ building by mistake
and wanted to go from there and he can only see that one option but is afraid to select it as he
doesn’t know unless he steps on it that ladder is strong enough to bare the weight of a such
heavy animal.

One side may be that Rhino could not find a way to go out on the terrace of the building he is
currently on but he may see an escaping way on the other building and wants to go there.

The interesting part also come here that how that what and why the ladder is lying between
the terrace of two buildings?
