Guess The Kisses

Number of players: 3-12+

Time needed: 30 minutes approximately

The gist:

In general, this is a simple and romantic game, that helps to create a beautiful and
unique souvenir for the bride. This is a clean game for any number of players, which
everyone can enjoy. Also, it requires almost no preparation and is perfect for an indoor
location. All the guests leave lipstick marks on a big piece of white poster board, and the
bride is to guess whose kiss it is. The game has a follow-up when every guest writes a
wish under her lipstick mark. If you can arrange it having the groom leave his own kiss
before the event in a predetermined lipstick that you can point out later makes this
keepsake a truly treasured item.

What to prep:

 A piece of white canvas or cardboard.

 Pens or color markers (felt-tip pens) for everyone.

  Lipsticks

How to play:

Step 1. Distract the bride and get the guests to plant kisses on a canvas or cardboard.

Step 2. Ask the bride to match each kiss to the right person. Since each person has a
unique lipstick color, then it’s easy to determine when she is right.
Step 3. Once the right guest is matched, the guest signs on the kiss.

Step 4. Write a wedding wish for the newlyweds or some warm words for the couple.

Step 5. After the bachelorette party, the bride can frame the canvas or cardboard and
hang or keep it preserved as a guest book.

Bra-Pong For Bachelorette Party

Number of players: 4-10

Time needed: about 60 minutes

The gist:

This is an insanely popular naughty lingerie shower game, similar to basketball. The
idea is to throw the ball right into the bra on a corkboard or even stretched between two
chair backs. Try to find a very large bra at a local thrift shop or even a department store.
Each time you plant the ball into the cup you score one point. The player with the most
points wins.

What to prep:

 Bra.

 10 ping balls or even racket/tennis/or handballs.

 A corkboard or two chair backs and some pins to fix the bra in place.

 Pen and a paper to keep the score.

How to play:
Step 1. Attach the bra to either the corkboard or between the back of two chairs.

Step 2. Distribute the balls to the guests, and have them take turns throwing the balls
into the bra aiming to have it land in the cups.

Step 3. Set a time limit for each player and blow a whistle when the time is up.

Step 4. Set a time limit and blow a whistle after 30 mins.

Step 5. The guest with the highest number of balls wins some small prize. The guest
who threw in the lowest number of balls has to tell a very personal secret about her
husband/boyfriend that the bride gets to ask.

Paper Bride
Guests divide into teams of three or four. One member of each team is the model; the
others construct a wedding dress using toilet paper. The models strut; the bride picks
their favorite look. Pro tip: Use triple-ply.

Why Do We Do That?
There are so many wedding traditions that we just do without really knowing why.
This is one of those unique bridal shower games that's fun and teaches you a thing or
two. Make a list of wedding traditions, like having a designated ring finger or
the bouquet toss, then have the players choose an answer from a corresponding
answer bank and see who can guess the most correctly.
The bouquet; the garter toss; that something blue pinned to your dress: Have you ever
taken a second to consider the purpose of all of these deeply instilled wedding
traditions? Probably not because you're busy planning a wedding.

But since we're wedding fanatics that fall asleep dreaming of napkin rings and invite
fonts, we took the liberty to dig around and find 10 fascinating facts about the wedding
traditions we've all come to know.

1. Turns out it's your "ring finger" for a reason.

Engagement and wedding rings are worn on the fourth finger of the left hand because it
was once thought that a vein in that finger led directly to the heart.

Why Is the Wedding Ring Worn on the Left Hand?

2. Why do brides wear a white wedding dress?

Queen Victoria is credited with starting the Western world's white wedding dress trend
in 1840 — before then, brides simply wore their best dress.

3. Matching bridesmaids are good luck.

The tradition of matching maids dates back to Roman times, when people believed evil
spirits would attend the wedding in an attempt to curse the bride and groom (how
rude). Bridesmaids were required to dress exactly like the bride in order to confuse the
spirits and bring luck to the marriage.

4. As are wedding veils.

On a similar note, brides traditionally wear veils because ancient Greeks and Romans
believed they protected her from evil spirits.
5. As the old saying goes...
The tradition of a bride wearing "something old, something new, something borrowed,
something blue," comes from an Old English rhyme. Something old represents
continuity; something new offers optimism for the future; something
borrowed symbolizes borrowed happiness; something blue stands for purity, love, and
fidelity.

6. Let them eat cake.

The tradition of a wedding cake comes from ancient Rome, where guests broke a
loaf of bread over the bride's head for fertility's sake.
7. Ever wondered where the phrase "tying the knot" came
from?
In many cultures around the world—including Celtic, Hindu, and Egyptian weddings—
the hands of the bride and groom are literally tied together to demonstrate the couple's
commitment to each other and their new bond.

8. If you thought we were over the spirit thing, think again.

According to tradition, the groom carries the bride across the threshold to valiantly
protect her from evil spirits lurking below.

9. June weddings are not a new thing.

The Roman goddess Juno rules over marriage and childbirth, hence the popularity of
June weddings.

10. Honeymoons weren't always so luxurious.

Ancient Norse bridal couples went into hiding after the wedding, and a family member
would bring them a cup of honey wine for 30 days—or one moon—which is how the
term "honeymoon" originated.

Purse Scavenger Hunt

Make a list of common items people might carry in their favorite bags as well as less
common—and racier!—things one might stash. Give a prize to whoever keeps the most
items in their purse and reward them with something else they can stick in it, such as a
gift card. Include items like a hair tie, a pen, red lipstick, or a fast-food receipt.

Newlywed Trivia
Collect interesting—or ridiculous—information about the couple, then ask guests to
guess the answers to your questions. Consider typing out a multiple-choice quiz you can
grade as guests eat cake, or conduct a Jeopardy!-inspired live competition where
guests vie to be the first to shout the correct answer. Questions can range from easy for
fewer points to hard for more. Include questions like, "Where did the couple meet?" or
"Who said 'I love you' first?"

Celebrity Wives
Gather the names of your favorite celebrity wives and then write each name on a single
index card. Ask each guest to tape a card to their forehead—no peeking!—and then have
the other guests describe the person on the card until everyone guesses their celeb
status. Who wouldn't want to be Beyoncé for a day?

Bridal Trivia
In this game, shower guests will answer questions about the bride to see how
well they really know her. These can range from her favorite color to her
education to what kinds of jewelry she normally wears – the more difficult or
outrageous the question, the more points it is worth. To make it even harder,
send the bride out of the room and include questions about her outfit or nail
color. At the end, each guest will tally up their correct answers and the guest
with the most points will receive a prize. Depending on who is in attendance,
remember to keep the questions crowd-friendly and PG-rated!

Pass the Bouquet

The bouquet can be pre-made with real flowers or could be made from the
ribbons and bows on the presents, or comprised of DIY tissue paper flowers.
From there, it is the same concept as musical chairs: hand the bouquet to a
guest and start some music. Guests continue to pass it around the room and
when the music stops, the person holding the bouquet is eliminated. The
game then continues until there is only one person left. Remember how crazy
musical chairs got toward the end? This game gets just as fun. Make a playlist
of all your favorite songs to make it even better!

Wedding Pictionary
Grab some markers, an easel and paper and prepare to have a blast! Fill a
bowl with slips of paper with various wedding-related terms written on them,
such as wedding dress or bridesmaid or open bar. Team members must
select a slip of paper and do their best to draw out the term for their team to
guess. Divide the guests into teams and watch them go at it as they try to
draw and guess their way to victory.

Romantic Comedy Charades

Girls and rom-coms go hand-in-hand, so what better place to put that
knowledge to use than a bridal shower? On a stack of index cards, write out
the names of popular romantic comedies. Guests are divided into two groups.
A player from each team is chosen to pick a card and act out scenes from the
movie until their teammates correctly guess the answer.
