confidence mining economy, reserve can only be found in some measured part of the resource.

Stripping ration is the one that determines whether the operation/ extraction is economically good. It
determines whether the operation is profitable enough or not. The classification of mining are the
maximum allowable stripping ratio which determines the volume of overburden and weight of ore at an
economic pit limit and the other one is the overall stripping ratio which determines the overburden and
weight ratio of the entire body ore or cross section.

Open Pit and Open Cast mining is very similar with each other. They both belong to the mechanical
extraction method, the qualifications to use these specific methods, the ore deposits that these
operations were applied are also similar. The one thing that differentiates these two is that in open cast
mining, the overburden is not transported to waste dumps for disposal but cast directly into adjacent
mine-out panels.

There are three factors that are considered in the initial planning and it includes natural and geologic
factors, economic factors, and technological factors. The natural and geologic factors are geologic
conditions, ore types and grade, hydrologic conditions, and topography. On the other hand, economic
factors such as ore grade, tonnage, stripping ratio, and cut off grade are the economic considerations.
The equipment, pit slope, bench height, and road grade concludes the technological consideration in the
initial planning.

Every mining method has its particular qualification and conditions that are observed before confirming
what variety of mining method to use. The same goes with the pregnant woman, it goes through series
