How Much

Does it Cost to
Be a Christian?
Mark 8:27-38
A common question in
today's world is "How
much does it cost?"
Everything of value has its
price.
Generally speaking, one
can get anything and
become almost anything if
one is willing to pay the
price.
Jesus never deceived
anyone about becoming a
Christian. He describe the
cost.
I.
To be a Christian involves
renunciation.
(Let him deny himself)
Renunciation - an act or
instance of relinquishing,
abandoning, repudiating, or
sacrificing something, as a
right, title, person, or
ambition.

II.
To be a Christian involves
dedication.
(take up his cross)
To dedicate is to assign, to
commit or to give over.
To take up one’s cross is
simply to be willing to pay
any price for Christ’s sake.
III.
To be a Christian involves
imitation.
(follow me)
Submission to the Lordship
of Christ that becomes a
pattern of life.
(Christlikeness)
Only after a person denies
himself and takes up his
cross, Jesus said, is he
actually prepared “to
follow Me.”
CONCLUSION
"MADALING MAGING
KRISTIYANO NGUNIT
MAHIRAP MAGPAKA
KRISTIYANO AT
TUNAY NA
TAGASUNOD NI
KRISTO"
Consider the cost of becoming
a true and genuine Christian. It
involves renunciation of self,
dedication to the Lord’s way,
and imitation of Christ’s life.
The Lord never marks down
His demands. There are no
sales in discipleship. Are we
willing to pay the price?
