Table 2 shows the testing procedures that will be conducted during the system

evaluation. It shows the tests to be conducted in the system features by means of

functionality.

EVALUATION PROCEDURE

To evaluate the system, the following activities will perform:

Preliminary Evaluation

After the project is completed the researchers will conduct a testing to the

program modules/component or phase. With this, the functionality and reliability of the

system will be evaluated.

Final Evaluation

To test the project, the researchers will conduct a survey to I.T. specialists and

Non-IT specialists. All the respondents will be selected through random sampling, and

will be categorized into two namely: IT group and Non-IT group.

Evaluation Instrument

An evaluation instrument will be used for tabulation, analyses, interpretation, and

summarization of the result. The criteria or indicators to be used by the researcher are

the following: (limit to 5 only)

a) Functionality – ease of operation, provision for comfort and convenience, and

user-friendliness;

b) Reliability – conformance to desired result, absence of failures, and accuracy

in performance;

c) Usability – exists with regard to functionality and refers to the ease of use for a

given function;

d) Efficiency – concerned with the system resource used when providing the

required functionality;

e) Maintainability – ease of maintenance, provision for diagnostic tools and

procedures, and provision for enhancements and modifications; and

f) Portability – refers to how well the software can adopt to changes in its

environment or with its requirements.

Treatment of Data

A five-point scale will be used to evaluate the study, thus, the Likert’s Principle.

Each criterion will be rated in a scale of 1-5, where 5 is Excellent and 1 is Poor. The

data will be gathered and computed to determine the Mean and Overall Mean, to be

used for the interpretation of the results.

The formula for Mean is:

X = ∑fx where: X = Mean

n f = frequency
x = score
n = total of frequency
Overall Mean = ∑x
n
The following descriptive rating scale will be used to evaluate the research

project.

Table 3. Likert Scale

Ranking Ranges Verbal
Interpretation
5 4.51 – 5.00 Excellent
4 3.51 – 4.50 Very Good
3 2.51 – 3.50 Good
2 1.51 – 2.50 Fair
1 1.00 – 1.50 Poor
