THE CORONAVIRUS DISEASE

Title

Introduction
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
It was first reported to the World Health Organization at the end of December 2019 in Wuhan,
China.

Body
The majority of patients who contract COVID-19 will have mild to moderate symptoms
and will recover without any additional therapy. Some people, though, will become critically
unwell and require medical help. When an infected person coughs, sneezes, speaks, sings, or
breathes, the virus spreads in little liquid particles from their mouth or nose. Larger respiratory
droplets to smaller aerosols are among the particles. If you are near someone who has COVID-
19, you can be infected by breathing in the virus, or by contacting a contaminated surface and
then touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. The virus is more easily spread indoors and in crowded
places.

Conclusion
Being thoroughly informed on the disease and how it spreads is the best strategy to avoid
and slow down transmission. Stay at least 1 meter away from people, wear a well fitted mask,
and wash your hands or use an alcohol-based rub periodically to protect yourself and others from
infection. When it's your turn, get vaccinated and follow local advice.

BULLYING
By Bryll Mattew Baloloy

Bullying is defined as recurrent aggressive behavior that can be physical, verbal, or

relational, and can occur in person or online, at school, work, in the community, or even at home.
Bullies are frequently ruthless, repeatedly bullying for long periods of time. You can live in
continual worry of the bully's next attack, what they'll do, and how far they'll go.

Unless you've been directly affected by bullying, you may not realize how terrible it can
be, particularly for children and teenagers. Bullying can make you feel furious, scared, helpless,
alienated, ashamed, and even guilty that the bullying is your responsibility. You might even
consider suicide. Your physical health is likely to deteriorate, and you're more prone to acquire
mental health issues including sadness, anxiety, low self-esteem, and post-traumatic stress
disorder (PTSD). To escape being bullied, you're more inclined to miss, skip, or drop out of school.

Bullying should be avoided at all costs. Whether you're the one who's being bullied or a
teacher or parent who suspects a child is being bullied or engaging in bullying behavior, there are
measures you can do to address the issue and eliminate bullying's negative consequences.
