I think that in the future everything will go digital. This is one reason that I wanted to start a
shipping business. Th
VoIP phone systems enable seamless communication between remote teams located all
over the world without the high costs associated with international phone calls, effectively
increasing productivity, boosting collaboration, and ensuring efficiency in communication
and collaboration between various supply chain actors. Shipping firms may benefit from
VoIP's extra digital solutions, such as mobile optimization, video conferencing, and analytics
tools.
What is GPS?
it was very important to find a way to constantly locate the ship and all its surroundings, not
only on behalf of the shipping company, but also to assist in the port of acceptance of the
ship. Therefore, around the 1990s, GPS, a global positioning system, was used to achieve the
above objectives. GPS works wirelessly with 24 satellites to track the location of cells within
a radius of about 15 meters.
So, GPS helps us to locate our ships and to see if there is any problem with them. GPS is very
helpful for shipping companies. Some other reasons that I would use GPS are:
- Supply Chain Transparency
Supply chain transparency is essential when it comes to improving logistics, as it improves
visibility of tracking data for all parties involved. And what's a better way to make this
tracking data accessible to stakeholders than through a GPS tracking solution? Also, as
consumers demand shorter delivery times, shippers, third-party logistics service providers
(3PL), and carriers who want to stay competitive can use tracking data to ensure consistent
and timely product delivery. We can guarantee good delivery.
When a customer is waiting for delivery of an item, it is not as frustrating as a delivery delay,
especially if there is no advance notice of the delay. These small GPS trackers provide real-
time data on the location of your cargo and the distance to your destination, so you can
keep your customers up-to-date and notify you of any delays. In addition, GPS data helps
identify delays that cargo may encounter. Truck congestion. You can take precautions to
minimize or eliminate delays through route optimization.
Information System
Global Information management
Even it is start-up business, I would use global information management. This is new class of
enterprise solution that provides the essential business strategy and tools to manage the
requirements for local language delivery. I will invest in content management and web
management solutions to manage the approval and publishing processes. These systems
can manage and deliver localized content. I think that Global Information management
provides the capability needed to manage the process of taking approved content. If me and
my team will be successful on using efficiently Global Information management we can
dramatically reduce processing time while will reduce localization costs.
New technology
The first technology that I would implement, will be the IoT (information of things) enables
users to control objects everyday by phone or remote. So, manager of the ship and every
employee can control the doors, windows, lights, and many things by this remote or phone
from this tech. The most important thing that this technology can do is that it can control
the hydraulics without the need for any individual to be permanently present on site. This is
very important for ships.
In a near future, I would invest for a big and advanced technology such as “autonomous
control”.
Since our company will have large ships as necessary for the transportation. If we would
implement the autonomous control, that is a major operation because ships are large and
complex.
Integrating smart technology such as AC would enable vessels to stay accurately on course
without requiring constant input from the captain.
- What does this do?
This reduces the chances for human error and allows real-time route information to be
implemented very fast.
For the employee in the firm, I would use the mainframe computers. Main reason for these
computers is because they store a large amount of data.
With our shipping company we will open even an agency which will provide the opportunity
to people to take their products directly from USA, EU or UK. These will be our retailers.
