Dear Sir,

WITHDRAWAL FROM HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PRIMARIES RE-

RUN SLATED FOR MONDAY, JUNE 6th 2022

A sequel of controversies has rocked our party since the beginning of the electoral season of
this year (2022) which is the process that brought about the emergence of the 3 Ad-hoc
delegates (per ward) who are to decide the flagbearers of the party throughout the state and
nation, in the general election.

And this decision has led to the exit of a few notable members of the party because of our
national challenges which are deep-rooted in undemocratic acts, and in this regard, I do not
need to exert my energy and resources to participate in a process that could easily be termed
illegal, illegitimate and dismissed when challenged at the appropriate quarters, hence the
decision to step aside until these irregularities are resolved.

This verdict is taken precisely to enable me to wholly dissociate myself from a fraught
system with exceptions and undemocratic acts. As a firm follower and disciple of the tenets
of democracy, it would be injurious to my prestige, my aspiration and the collective hope of
people who believe in me.

As a man of integrity, and one who believes only the Almighty gives power, I will continue
to be faithful to the good people of Ikeja Federal Constituency and then sincerely contribute
my quota to move our party forward.
