Subject: Delisting of Party-List Groups’ Registration for the May 2022 National and
Local Elections
With reference to subject, we are informing you that Alay Buhay is being
considered for removal by the Commission in the upcoming 9 May 2022 elections. This
is by reason of failing to attain at least two (2) percent of the votes cast in the last two
party-list elections and therefore not having to obtain a seat in the House of
Representatives.
In view thereof, the Commission is issuing a fixed deadline for the filing of
petitions for registration and manifestation of intent to participate for party-list groups
until 31 March 2021. Failure to receive such notice of petition shall mean that the Party-
list will no longer be eligible to participate in the 2022 elections.
Petitions for registration may be submitted before the Clerk of the Commission.
After due notice and hearing, the Commission shall resolve the petition within 10 days
from the date it is submitted for decision.
So ordered.
