Course task Unit 1.

 In your own point of view, what is the most significant criteria in health teaching or when
educating our client?
- In my perspective, the essential criteria in health teaching or educating our clients is
to help patients make an informed decision. Our patients will be better able to
identify how they want to receive their healthcare if they are more informed about
their care and prospective treatment alternatives. To achieve this, nurses must
continually improve patient teaching and education prior to discharge. Nursing can
help patients learn more. More significant tasks must be delegated to support
workers, and more emphasis should be placed on patient education and, when
giving care, use return demonstration. Include the patient from the beginning of the
treatment.Patients are empowered to enhance their health by receiving education.
Patients involved in their care are more likely to participate in activities that may
improve their chances of achieving a positive outcome. Patient education supports
patient-centered care and improves medication and treatment adherence.
Healthcare delivery becomes more efficient and cost-effective as compliance
improves. Educationally educated patients are more likely to receive the same level
of care and experience fewer difficulties due to their condition. The ability of a
patient to care for himself or herself after discharge has been proven to be
improved by effective verbal patient education, lowering morbidity and mortality.
Physical, mental, emotional, and social health are all taught in health education. It
encourages students to maintain and enhance their health and avoid disease and
engage in risky behaviors. Students need to be educated about health since it
improves their understanding and attitudes.

 Purpose of health education to patient.

 Goal of health education to nurses/student nurses
 Benefits of health education to patient, student nurses, and nurses.
- As nurses, we need to know why we need to educate the patient in their situation or care.
Clients must be aware of their alternatives and choices for a disease process not anxious
about being in the dark. They need to understand the dangers associated with a diagnostic or
treatment process to make educated decisions regarding their health. They should be aware of
their odds of surviving or the repercussions of their sickness so that they can confront
whatever comes their way with an open mind and a well-informed perspective. Furthermore,
theirs four crucial reasons why we need to educate our patients. The first is to prevent disease
or injury, and we need to educate them to prevent diseases for them to know what they do
next time and how important is that. Moreover, the second is to promote wellness. It is
essential to keep our body in peak shape; overall physical well-being advocates a healthy mix
of physical activity, nutrition, and mental well-being. We can cultivate personal responsibility
for our health by achieving a high physical well-being level. Furthermore, the third reason is
to restore health. A good diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and social support can help us
recover from illness or injury by relieving or managing our symptoms. Having a cheerful
attitude can also help us recover faster from illness. Moreover, the last one is to help our
patients cope, and the importance of learning good coping skills is that it teaches us how to
deal with stressful situations and improves our resilience. As a result, whatever challenge we
face in the future, we will persevere and overcome it. Furthermore, if they do not know how
to release their feelings for our patient's safety, they might do something for themselves.
- As a student nurse, study how we help and engage our patients. A nurse's job includes much
patient education. Patients are empowered to enhance their health by receiving education.
Patients involved in their care are more likely to participate in activities that may improve
their chances of achieving a positive outcome. Patient education aims to help clients become
more self-assured and competent in managing their health. Clients' self-care responsibility
and independence will be increased due to this program.
- Health education is a crucial function for nurses in all contexts. The necessity of patients or
clients understanding their health care needs to repair, maintain, or promote health is
emphasized heavily in nursing education programs both in the classroom and in the clinical
setting. Patient education is critical for making informed decisions. Identifying how they wish
to receive their healthcare improves when people are more informed about their care and
treatment alternatives.
