Wanderlust, a term that refers to a deep desire to travel and explore the world. I

have always enjoyed traveling and exploring other lifestyles and overall experiencing

other countries and places. Good afternoon, I am Marina Tella and these are the

three places in our world that I’d love to visit! And I bet that by the end of my speech,

you will already be purchasing your plane tickets.

My initial location is notable because of the country’s historical values and myths

surrounding the nation’s ancient civilization and religion. Our first stop is Greece,

more specifically Athens. There you can visit the beautiful Acropolis, monumental

temples dedicated to the Greek deities, and various museums with the greek ancient

art, while still experiencing amazing cuisine and vibrant traditions. This place has

consistently been on my bucket list since I’ve always been a lover of Greek

mythology and the country’s history as a whole and I’d love to be able to see that live

and immerse myself in that brilliant world of stories.

After visiting the city of philosophy, gods, and democracy. We are going to Latin

America and explore a mysterious place located in Peru. The 15th-century citadel,

also known as the lost city of Incas, was recently declared one of the new seven

wonders of the world. In Machu Picchu, you can visit the Intihuatana stone or Inti

Mach'ay, a mysterious cavern with tall passages and windows that stayed closed off,

until an event called the Royal Feast of the Sun. With amazing food and breathtaking

views, Machu Picchu has extraordinary customs and tells the story of a civilization

that no longer exists. This place possesses a broad and unique culture, and I have

constantly wanted to see the extraordinary architecture and art that makes the

citadel of Machu Picchu so well-known.

Our last stop today is known for its wildlife and has consistently been a dream of

mine. We are now going to the land down under, Australia. While exploring you can

go to Rottnest Island, near Perth, and encounter the selfie-loving creatures, the

quokkas to take cute photos with them. Maybe you could visit Queensland and

cuddle a Koala. You can also meet more animals like the Kangaroos, Platypus,

Echidna, Dingos, as well as others, in various wildlife sanctuaries and zoos located

throughout Australia. When talking about Australia, there’s one artwork you can find

there that is very well-known. Any guesses? I’m going to give you some clues: it’s a

natural formation, under the sea… Ideas? If you guessed the coral reefs, you would

be right. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef system in the world and has

an amazing variety of subaquatic animals and is a must-see place when visiting the

country. And let’s not forget Uluru, the famous sacred stone located in the country’s

center, recognized for its gorgeous auburn hue and amazing golden and red

sunsets. Australia is the ideal destination for wild animal lovers, and ever since I

visited South Africa, the country has been a constant dream of mine, because of its

remarkable and unique animals and wildlife adventures.

While still at home, we can only dream about going to see these breathtaking places.

But eventually, we will be able to go to Athens and see the Parthenon, or maybe visit

the wondrous Machu Picchu, or perhaps feed a wild Dolphin in Australia. These

three were the places selected by me, Machu Picchu, Peru; Athens, Greece; and

Australia, all known for lively and unique culture, exotic cuisine, and rare wildlife.

Even though talking about these places with you was awesome, our journey has

come to an end. Thank you all for your time and I hope I have convinced you to add

at least one of these countries to your bucket list.
