 Write a brief paragraph about why you choose to apply for this job. 300 WORDS

Why did I apply for this job? There are several reasons that why I choose to apply this job.
Firstly, I was looking for a part time as I am a student , so I can work only up to 20 hours, and
the job requires a part time candidate who can work for flexible hours. Therefore, the job was
perfect for me as I would not miss my classes and I can work as well. Secondly, I do not want to
work in factory or warehouse where you do not even get a minute to take a breathe, but this job
offers me to work in a calm way and I can meet people of various nationalities. Hence, my
communication skills would get even better. Thirdly, the employer was offering good wage i.e.
$16 per hour, so it would be helpful for me to manage my daily expenses. And also, this is not a
seasonal work which slows down in a particular season, so I am not afraid of getting jobless at
any point. Moreover, I had done the similar kind of work in India. Before coming to Canada, I
was free for a few months, so I applied in a mall and got selected. At that mall, I worked as a
customer assistant, where I used to help customers. Therefore, it was so easy for me to work at
Shoppers Drug Mart. Furthermore, the major skills which are required for the job, I have those
skills in me and it will be extremely easy for me to handle my job efficiently. The another benefit
of doing this job is that the employees get discounts if they purchase anything from the store.
And also, it is not a kind of job that includes too much heavy lifting as opposed to the warehouse
work where the workers have to lift heavy weight boxes. Last but not the least, Shoppers drug
mart is an extremely famous store in Canada, and it will be a matter of pride if I work in a well
known store. Thus, these are the various that why I choose to apply for this job.
