OUTLINE
We are pleased to distribute the WinDr. (PC version Dr. ZX) service software v3.2.0.0. Refer to
page 6 for the PC environment, etc. for WinDr. To be able to communicate with the machine, have
a USB serial conversion cable ready so that it can be used with the computer. Install the driver
while referring to pages 7 and 8. The USB serial conversion cable can be purchased at a store. For
the recommended USB serial conversion cables, refer to page 16. The WinDr. software should be
downloaded from Global e-Service / D&V.
(Installer: WinDr. For Dealer, File Name: WinDr_For_Dealer (Ver3_2_0_0).zip, Version: 3.2.0.0)
Follow the instructions given on pages 9 through 13 to install WinDr. For the structure of the cables
to be connected to the machine, refer to pages 14 and 15. To operate WinDr., download “WinDr.
Technical Manual” from Global e-Service/e-Cabinet and refer to it.

Thoroughly read the safety section in the service manual before starting the work to ensure safe operation.
Welding work, if any, should only be done by qualified welders.

2-1-1 You will need to “release the administrator authority” for this EH4000AC2-201
installation task. Proceed to release the authority in advance.

2-1-2 To install WinDr into your personal computer for the first time, confirm the “system
requirements” and “driver installation,” and then, proceed to “installer operation manual.”
For the second time and thereafter, begin from the “installer operation manual.”

2-2 System requirements

2-3 USB serial conversion cable

You will need a USB serial conversion cable for WinDr.

If you already own a USB serial conversion cable, try using that. If it does not work or you do not have
a USB serial conversion cable, refer to the attached sheet, “List of recommended cables” to purchase
one.

★ Caution
If the USB conversion cable driver of another make has already been installed, there is the
possibility of interference and error. Make sure to uninstall it, and then, install.
In the case of interference, uninstall one of the drivers.

STEP 1 Installation of USB serial conversion cable driver

Operation procedure

1. Insert the USB serial conversion cable to the

USB port. The resulting window display may
be as shown in the illustration to the left.
If there is no such display, it means that the
installation of driver is not necessary.
2. Choose “Install from a list or specific location
(Advanced)” and then, click “Next.”

3. Insert the CD that comes with the cable.

4. Choose “Search removal media (floppy,
CD-ROM …) and then, click “Next.”
