1. “My safe haven”

2. Some people may see this space as old, useless, and obsolete.
3. But in my eyes, it meant million words, thousand emotions, and hundred memories.
4. Back then, us, Filipinos used to lived in bahay kubos that is why every family has this space
(papag) in their house.
5. Since before I can remember, this space has been beside our house and with my family from the
very start.
6. It had been with us through our ups and downs, it had witnessed everything from joy to sorrow
and birth to death.
7. Whenever I feel lonely and weary, this is the place I go, for it makes me feel safe and
comfortable. Spending time at this place helps me to heal and refresh my mind, body, and soul.
8. This is the reason why this place is very sentimental to me, for it holds a lot of memories from
my birth up until now.
9. There’s nothing I wound not consider as art in my space because whenever I look into any part
of it, It made me feel certain emotions and remember certain memories.
10. When I look at the telephone beside I remember my childhood which makes me feel nostalgic
and when I look at the papag, I remember every meal my family shared in that very spot and
also I remember my late grandma which makes me feel mournful.
11. This is why every part of my space is beautiful in my eyes for it conveys different meanings and
feeling.
12. This safe haven of mine, is an art.
