WASH in Schools (WINS) Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

 Formulate action plans for the enhancement of WINS flagship program i.e., water, sanitation
and hygiene.
 Develop a team that will serve as the WINS technical working group.
 Undertake capacity building and technical assistance for the TWG.
 Undertake program oversight as well as monitoring and evaluation through the Three (3) Star
Monitoring System.
 Plan activities for Global Handwashing Day (15th of October), World Toilet Day (19 th of
November), National Toothbrushing Day (1st Week of February), #MeronAko Campaign (2 nd
Week of June) and others.
 Ensure the availability of school facilities compliant to National Plumbing Code such as but not
limited to toilet at 1:50 ratio, handwashing with 10 faucets, drinking station with micron and
carbon filters, and proper septage and wastewater disposal.
