WASH in Schools (WINS) Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

1. Formulate action plans for the enhancement of WINS flagship program i.e., water,
sanitation and hygiene.

2. Develop a team that will serve as the WINS technical working group.

3. Undertake capacity building and technical assistance for the TWG.

4. Undertake program oversight as well as monitoring and evaluation through the Three (3)
Star Monitoring System.

5. Plan activities for Global Handwashing Day (15th of October), World Toilet Day (19th of
November), National Toothbrushing Day (1st Week of February), #MeronAko Campaign
(2nd Week of June) and others.

6. Ensure the availability of school facilities compliant to National Plumbing Code such as
but not limited to toilet at 1:50 ratio, handwashing with 10 faucets, drinking station with
micron and carbon filters, and proper septage and wastewater disposal.
