How do we create healthy streets?
1 Take up new streets 2 Redesign old ones
3 But also, intervene on existing ones…
Immediate steps for Healthy streets program.
1 Identify quick win projects - From the identified network.

2 Allocate/ divert budget - Identify other sources.

3 Hire/empanel competent urban designers - A good mix of local and national experience
through detailed RfP

4 Select a competent team- Urban Designers, Contractors, Engineers & Experts

5 Get all stakeholders on board- Important utilities representatives, traffic police, political
representatives, citizens.

6 Build Capacity- Through relevant site visits & workshops

7 Set target. Begin implementation.
