Amit Dixit is an Indian theater director, playwright, actor and who has contributed a
great deal to the realm of most popular folk art “Nautanki” and credited to enriching the folk art
at National Level and keenly working with the objective to take the “Nautanki” to the International
level and creating the various opportunities for the particular art form , Amit Dixit has been
associated with the theaters, films, Doordarshan and Akashvani for 20 years and
established himself as a well known personality in Theaters & media Industry in both
government and non government platforms such as Sangeet Natak Academy New
Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bihar , Meghalaya, Nagaland, Asam, Rajasthan, West Bengal,
Haryana, Punjab, MP, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Amit Dixit who is also a founder
and Editor of The Monthly Magazine Satya Samarpan(An NGO) which involves in
creating strong roots of Indian culture & traditions amongst the New Generation of India
by sending the message of Unity, Divinity and Peace by holding the cultural work and
believes that India can become the superpower if we think in the direction of Indian
Cultural and Traditions which is shown by many notable works, he has written plays
such as Siyaram Awadhpuri se Janakpuri, Yogamrit, Plays of Lord Shri Ram
Biography,Yeh Hui Baat, Deen Jan Pyare, Pratinidhi Purush, Wah Bhai Wah, Hum mein
hai Rastra,Hum mein hai Bhagat, Panchvati, Main Ram aap Parshuram, Ehsaas Thoda
toh Jagayen, Deep Jyoti, Dhama Chaukdi, Vikramaditya, Bhakt Pooranmal & Anekonek
Audio cassette. His plays have been applauded by Various Hon’ble personalities like UP
& Bihar Governor, Various cultural Minsters of various states, and other Notable
Intellectual for which he humble credits to his mentors such as Padma Shri Yogesh
Praveen ji, Dr Urmil Thapaliyal ji.

3. Contribution to the Field:

● Main Role in educational T.V programme “Look and Say”

● Done Nautanki performance with Divyaang Children under the play “Hum mein hai
Rastra” which was created and acted by me.
● In association with Gulaab, Bai Theater company performed various plays of “Raja
Harishchandra & Sultana Daakoo” in various cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kanpur.
● Presented Lord Ram Character for 14 years in Ram Leela Mohatsav.
● Written and Directed Nautanki “ Siyaram Awadhpuri se Janakpuri”
● Written and Directed the Nautanki performance on Pt. Deen Dayal upadhyay ji “ Deen
Jan Pyare” and performed in cities like Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Firozabad,
Farrukhabad ,Kanpur, Mainpuri, Rasoolabad.
● Performed in the prominent T.V show “ Chunavi Chutki” on eTV UP for 27 episodes.
● Casted in a Major role as actor in Doordarshan serial Abu Hasan, Ek Kunwara
Shadishuda, Harishchanarr ki ladai, Kalyani, Aids, Dussehrra, Swasth Samaj.
● Participated in Rang Mahotsav at NDS Delhi for 4 years in different performances.
 ● Done Dialogue Delivery in BBC world project at Akashwani.
● Worked for BBC world as major role in Doordarshan
● Conducted a 30 days theater workshop at Dr Shayama Jalan ji organization Kolkata for
Nautanki “Yeh Hui Baat”.
● Participated in Mumbai Mega serial “ Jai Shri Swami Narayan” as an actor in lead.
● Performed in Rangshala Mumbai 30 days workshop with very notable film
personalities.
● worked as Nautanki Specialist for SNA, New Delhi at various events in Jammu,
Kolkata, Kanpur, Thathiya etc.
● Worked in a New Delhi Serial “Karz Ki Vapasi” & “Lucknow ki Vikas Yatra” in a Major
role.

● Conducting theater play in BITS Pilani college under play “Hum sab mein hai Bhagat”
and training the students by spreading patriotic emotions in young Minds of India.
● Conducted Nautanki performance with UNICEF for slum kids under the play “Ehsaas
thoda toh Jagaye” in which contributed as Writer, Director and Actor.
