Lavani One of the integral part of Maharashtrian folk form, which is invented in 16th century.
This form and the artists had a prestigious place in the royal courts of those times. As the
time progress Lavani got evolved. Now in 21st century few artists have kept the beauty and
dignity of this form alive. Even though this form is still not very well acclaimed in the society
these artists are trying their best to give back Lavani its original majesty. That is what exactly
our effort is, to make the audience aware about this grand form of Maharashtrian culture.
Along with 6 renowned artists we have one guest artist from Spain who has tremendous love
on Lavani. Also some of the leading artists from Marathi film industry will be performing the
skits to make the audience laugh and spread the social awareness at the same time. So as a
society have some responsibility to keep this art form alive and get back its dynasty. Let’s do
this through the entertainment.
  From an indian father and an Italian mother ,she started her formation
as dancer when she was 6 years and haven´t stopped dancing till now.

 She began at the conservatory of classical dance in France where she

learnt ballet for 7 years.

 In 2016 she participated in the lavani reality show Dholkichya Talavar

on colors marathi channel ,as one of the 12 best dancers. From then
she has starting loving this beautiful art form Lavani and in the same
year after lot of studies and taking testimonials from the leading Lavani
performers she has written and published a book in Spanish language “
Lavani.. The forgotten Ghungaroo”

 Since 2016 she is travelling around the world and promoting Lavani
across the globe till now. Also she is conducting classes of Lavani back
Chani R K in Spain.
From Spain
 She is one of the Artists in the troupe of Avatarali Apsara and the main
USP of the show.

This is our 1st Fusion dance concert of traditional & contemporary lokkala art.
This event take place in the month of April at cultural city Pune. The purpose of this
event is all of us work towards keeping this long lasting tradition of Maharashtra since
16th century. It is a great opportunity to see traditional lokkala in a new light and will be
presented by 8 renown performers from Maharashtra and outside India. The performers
will be bringing their own unique styles to the stage, and the audience will be able to see
the beauty of this traditional art form in a new way.

Bhushan Desai is an Art director, lights designer, Event Planner and the recipient of
Multiple times Zee Guarav Award, Sanskrutik kala Darpan ,INT (Indian National
Theatre), Savai Ekanakika , Mata Sanman , Mrigajal , Sakal Karandak and many more.
He has been an active part of theatre /films in Marathi entertainment industry for over
two decades as a light designer and art director for theatre plays, Marathi movie,
Serials, ad-films, Albums, Tele- films .

Seema Desai Nair is an Entrepreneur, Fashion Designer, Personality Development coach,

Motivational Speaker, NLP Master Practitioner. She is Sole Director at Vastra Fashions and
more (OPC) Pvt Ltd. As a NLP coach she works in area of Personality development and have
trained more than 10000 people on more than 100 platforms including Students , Parents ,
