If you are an employee of Malaysia Airlines terminated and not offered re-employment, how would

you view the quality of the organization-individual relationship at the airline, and what would you do
subsequently? What if you are terminated but offered re-employment? Please be specific and justify
your answers.

If I were a long time employee of Malaysia Airlines that has been terminated and has not been
offered a re-employment by the Company, I would feel utter despair and disappointment. Because, I
have spent a lot time and dedication to do my best for the benefit of the company, After all, losing a job
is not easy to deal with especially when there are limited jobs available. Being a long-time employee of
the airline means a lot to me, because I have trained myself and worked hard to gain the Company's
trust. Challenges came and eventually have been surpassed because of my determination to work hard.
Sacrifices have been made to do the task that is being assigned or the work that should be done. Sudden
termination would make me feel that the company doesn’t give enough loyalty and sympathy for its own
employees. And to think that many employees would be displaced and out of work Maybe I'm not the
only one who is giving it all for this Company, so I think it's just disappointing that the Company does not
value and give importance to the people who bring this Company to wand it includes us, the employees.

Although, I must also understand that the Company has been struggling and has gone to complete
downfall. Maybe the airline is really in a state of hardships, where it really needs to do something to
make its operations much better and be competent enough against its competitors. And one thing that
they foresee as a step in making changes in its operation is to undergo through a series of changes like
the complete overhaul of its employees and optimization of its ways in operating the business for them
to take control and apply any necessary actions to level itself with its competitors in the region. And the
reason behind it is that they are making and will utilize new strategies to lessen the airlines expenses or
make the airlines operations more efficient.

When I imagine and put myself to the situation of the company owner, I would also think that
my Company will needing some changes especially with its ways strategies on making the airlines’
operations more profitable. And that includes lessening the expenses and how to gain more profit in
limited and quality resources. Resources do include the entire workforce or its employees because they
are the ones who are getting their hands on the jobs in the company needs to accomplish. Also the
emergence technology can be the main reason why companies are reducing employees because it is
more cost effective and makes an operation fast and efficient.

I must willfully accept that I will be terminated by the Company because there is nothing that I
can do to retain my job. Because no matter how good of an employee you are, no one is safe from being
fired from their job. Most of the company owners will do everything for their Company to gain more
profit, even if terminating employees has to be done.

Maybe the least thing that I can do is that, I will try to negotiate with my employers if there
would be any chance for them to change their decision and retain me as an employee of the airlines.
And offer them more things that I can do for the company, like exerting extra effort in doing other jobs or
adding more tasks beside from the designated work. But, there is a certainty that things won’t go well.

So I'll be asking and demand for a severance pay from the airline’s H.R. Department. After being
terminated from the airline company, I would figure out what to do next and probably start looking for a
new job that would not only fit my skills but also would compensate me well to provide my needs.

If the Company terminated me and offered me a re-employment, I will gladly accept the offer to
remain with the airline, and I will guarantee the organization that I will be giving my best and get along
with the Company's new goals and aspirations. Maybe the reason behind the company’s reconsideration
is that they’ve realized that losing a valuable employee like me is not going to be beneficial to the
company.

Specific employees who are used to the system or operation of a company already are indeed
valuable. It would is a big loss for the Company if they choose to remove some of its valuable employees
because these people are surely trusted to do their tasks well.

For example, me who has been terminated that work for the Company in so many years, if you will be
looking for people to work for a cheaper salary, the Company still it isn't guaranteed that the other
person will work at the same performance as what I'm giving for the Company. The Company is also not
sure if they can trust the new person in some task that can be done with accurate results, unlike
someone like me who is proven to the Company because of my perseverance and dedication to my
work. I will do more things that can make them think twice of terminating an employee like me, that I'm
one of the best and most valuable employees of for the airline.

SYNTHESIS

Being a long-time employee of this company who already contributed many things and ideas for the
growth of the company is a big deal because dedicating my life and time for this job is already a part of
my life. Being terminated tears the relationship between me and the company or organization. It affects
my mindset on how I should work in a company because if the organization doesn’t care for their
employees, then the mindset of the employees is to work at fine level but not on their best. Although
some companies might have a good reason for deducting their employees. Maybe budget is decreasing
to the point that employee’s salaries is also a conflict in the budget. As an employee, putting myself to
the shoes of other people is a great way to see different perspective from the others. Company owners
have the reasons on every action that they are doing because a simple error can affect the whole system
and the organization. Being terminated and re-employed by the company means that they are missing
the service and the performance that you have done to them for a very long time. The dedication that I
gave for a very long time will not be easily replaced and the company can’t adjust easily from having an
efficient employee like me.
