The internet has transformed the way information is shared and consumed, but it has also

created problems that did not exist before. What are the most serious problems associated
with the internet and what solutions can you suggest?
The issue of utilizing the Internet has been a hot potato in the public eye. However, do
not fear since every cloud has a silver lining and the measures are at hand.
The preliminary reason for this matter is the inadequacy of the needed information
security. For instance, Wikipedia – the feasibly largest online encyclopedia allows users
to amend the information on any article of it, there might be accurate adjustments from
trust-worthy specialists, by the same token, imprecise and invalid correction from
unknown sources that may not be reliable. This allowance can plausibly lead to the
misunderstanding of various subjects and unsuitable information exploitation, which can
result in a myriad of unexpected consequences. To address this problem, it is advisable
that the allowance to write and correct the articles on websites be managed by schools
and universities administration or valid organizations which can give the professionals in
their fields and distinguished figures to publish and amend their or other’s articles.
The second cause is the lack of users’ protection from unsuitable and sensitive
information. To be more specific, numerous websites and apps only require an email
address and doing an unsophisticated small test to prove users’ age and their not being a
robot, which can be easily forged by people at a surprisingly young age. In other words,
children, usually without parents’supervision, may be able to access to contents
concerning with sensitive and adult information such as films related to drugs and murder
which can desensitize them to violence in reality and create further detrimental effects on
their mental and physical development. To tackle this problem, Internet managers and the
governments from nations should collaborate to eliminate contents with inappropriate and
sensitive content, demand websites to require users’ identification which has been stored
in the government’s data and not be able to be forged and especially, raise parents and
teachers’ awareness of supervising and managing the Internet access of children properly.
Last but not least, the Internet can be regarded as a factor in causing a loss in creativity
and an increase in brain drain. To clarify, answers from workbooks and homework can be
available on different sites in which the indolent students can just transcribe in their
notebooks and submit those works to the teachers. Moreover, documents and articles
which can have been made by some person’s effort with all dedication and consideration
might inevitably be plagiarized by someone else and that person get all the credit for the
work for free without doing any research or search information. There fortunately has
already a solution to this problem with the help of checking plagiarism sites like Turnitin,
… However, the way of copying and plagiarizing information is getting more intricate
mostly among the students which shall call for the need of educating the students the
value of honesty and self- accomplishment.
In conclusion, Internet has a number of problems, but there is light at the end of tunnel,
and those problems are no exception to the rule. Actions speak louder than words, so I
strongly urge the masses to join hands and do something for Internet users' sake.
