1. In reference to Section 4 of Regional Memorandum No. 39 s. 2021, re: Implementing


Guidelines on the Utiiization of the Enhanced School-Based Managernent (SBM)
Assessment Tool with Contextualized Means of Verifications (MOVs), this Office, through
the Field Technical Assistance Division, instructs all public elementary and seconda4r
schools to conduct self,-assessment to determine their SBM leve1 of practice for Sy 2O2{-
2022, on August 1-12, 2022.

2. The SBM contexfualized tool for DepEd MIMAROPA Region in the SBM lrvel of
Practice Assessment and Validation Process, which can be found in the Regional
Memorandum No. 46 s. 2A22 shall be used during the self-assessment. The result of the
self-assessment conducted using other locally made SBM assessment tools shall not be
recognized; hence it will not be subjected to validation.

3' The results of the SBM self-assessment shall be consolidated at the District Office
through the Public Schcols District Supervisor and must be submitted. to the Division
Office tlrrough the Division SBM Coordinator on or before August 18,2022, for validation.
SBM self-assessment resuits shatl also be used as bases for the provision of technical
assistance of the SDOs to ensure the schools'effective delivery of quality education and
other basic education services.

4. For schools with seif*assessment results of level 3, the SDOs are requested to have
an initial validation of the said result before endorsing it to the Regional Oflice on or before
August 30, 2022, through CC:
. Schools whieh were not endorsed to the Regional
oflice on the said date will not be subjected to Validation. The endorsement must be
enclosed with the following documents which can be generated from the electronic SBM
Assessment Tool (e-SBMAT4) :
a. Duly slgned SBM Self-Assessment Result
b. Accomplished Performance Improvement Result
c. SBM Assessment Score Summarv

5. Attached is the regional baseline of the Key Performance tnd.icators
{KpIs) from Sys
2AW-2A2O, 2A2O-202 1, and 2O2L-ZAZ2.

7 ' sBM Level 2 recognized schools shall also conduct self-assessment


to identify the areas
for technical assistance to improve their practices and scale up their SBM levei using the
SBM contextuaJized tool per RM No. 46 s. ZAZ2.

8. SBM Level 3 recognized schoois by the Regional Office shall conduct a re-assessment
to determine the sustainability of their advanced SBM level of practice using the SBM
contexlualized tool per RM No. 45 s. 2O22. SDOs shall submit to tfre RegionJgffice the
consolidated results of their re-assessment on or before August 3A, ZAZZ. Schools that
were not able to sustain their level 3 shall be subjected to tJchnical assistance from the
SDo and Ro. on the other hand, schools with suitained advanced. SBM level of practice
will be recognized during the 2022 Regional SBM Convergence and Recognition.
q. The Regional Field Technical Assistance Teams (RFTATs) and the Division Field
Technical Assistance Teams (DFTATs) shall monitor the conduci of SBM Self-Assessment
in schools' Likewise, they shall provide technical assistance to the schools to improve their
SBM level and practices.

8. Any concern on this matter shall be directed to the Field Technicat Assistance Division,
Attention: Wendell I. Formalejo, PhD, Chief Education Supervisor, or Manolo F. perez, phD,
Education Program Supervisor/ Regional SBM Focai person, through
ftad. mirnaroparegion@deped. gov. ph.

9. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Memorandum is


directed.
