PART 1 - GENERAL

A. Product Data: For each type of product indicated. Indicate composition and properties of
used GRP resins, type of stainless steel embedded or inserted hardawre and anchors, test
loads of ladder and installation details.
C. Samples: Submit one cut sample of GRP ladder to indicate side bars, anchoring flanges and
two ladder rungs.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.1 MANUFACTURERS
2.2 MATERIALS
A. Gel Coat: Polyester neo pentyl glycol type, to obtain optimum processing and service
qualities in the finished product. Formulated to be non-fading, non- chalking, ultraviolet
stabilized and scratch resistant. Capable of being applied in required thicknesses. Matte,
non-glare, textured finish and color by addition of specially formulated aggregates selected
by Engineer from manufacturers standard range.
B. Resin: Fire retardant polyester type brominated reactor blended resin. Up to 30% antimony
trioxide permitted.
2.3 FINISH
A. Embedded or Inserted Hardware: Noncombustible, Type 316 stainless Steel that are
integrated into cast plastic fabrications.
B. Fasteners: For fixing ladders to mounting walls or floors are to post-intalled pre-drilled
expansion-type fasteners fabricated from type 316 stainless steel, select diameter based on
height of ladder and number of holes available for fixation fasteners.
2.5 COMPONENTS
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.1 INSTALLATION
A. Examine substrates, areas, and conditions, with Installer present, for compliance with
requirements for installation and other conditions affecting performance.
1. Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.
B. Attach cast plastic fabrications at joints with adhesive and band or brace together until
adhesive is cured. Cure adhesive according to manufacturer's written instructions.
D. Locate fasteners not less than 100 mm o.c. and not less than 8 mm from edge and end.
