(Traditional family and modem family)
I. Introduction:

Every society is like nature, constantly changing. The stability of society is just superficial
stability. In fact, it always changes in itself. Social change will lead to internal factors and
other factors. And the family is an inherent element of society, which can be considered
a primary social group, a "cell" of society. In the early years of reform, with the strong
impact of the market mechanism, followed by the mass influx of lifestyles and ways of
living of Western society into our country has changed somewhat traditional values,
especially in Vietnamese families whether in rural or urban areas. Depending on each
ethnic group, each region, clan, family changes more or less. Specifically, here are two
traditional Vietnamese families and modern Vietnamese families.

II. Body:

1. Family size:
Traditional family:
For traditional families they usually live together for generations. Previously, in a family
often have the appearance of grandparents, parents, children. "Tu dai dong duong" is
very normal in every house in Vietnam. Living with an old mother helps young people
maintain their habits.
Modem family:
Society today, young couples love freedom. Not only that, women are more equal, do
not accept sacrifices so it is difficult to live harmoniously with her husband. The choice
to live alone more and more.
2. Meal:
Traditional family:
With old family, meals are always focused. In the famine, many eat only one meal, but
all are enough to share and meet after a day's work. Many old people did not forget the
sight of a rural family surrounded by darkness, spread out on the porch, gather around
the tray, chat and enjoy the spacious space at the end of the day.
The life of a modern family today is to take children to school, parents go to work, pick
up children to go to market to cook rice. However, the only dinner in the family
sometimes does not have enough members. When parents are busy working overtime,
they must go to school more ... Meals are usually eaten for each person, preparing for
the next day, time to enjoy and share. with each other seems very little.
3. Wonman in the family and marriage:
Traditional family:
For old families, if a woman can not be born a son is not considered important,
everything depends on the husband, no decision has been made, and the husband is the
one with the highest power
Modem family:
women have been considered important, has a family position and is equal to everyone,
there are not too many problems when giving birth to a girl, and play an important role
in production, especially those who can control the cost of the family
III. Conlustion:
We should live a modern way of life but still retain the tradition
