Check secondary retention for Bolts - castle nut?
Check latch is functioning properly and safety catch

C-Hydraulic Power tong

Check 4 parts shackles are used c/w cotter pin.

Clear vision between the air winch man and rest about man while handling the pipe from

B2 YT Elevators
Check retention wire is in place and not broken of Top Plates
Check elevator Body certification including lifting ears.
Check secondary retention for Bolts - castle nut?

Check slip inserts are right size?


Check slips dies are in good condition.

B3 Hydraulic Power tong


Check lifting frame handle for lock-nut or safety pin
Check lifting frame
Check power tong lifting point for:
1. certifcation
2. All nuts have spring washers
3. R clip?? Is in Prefer cotterpin!
SWL Shackle = 1.5 Ton

B4 Powertong height adjusting cylinder


Check certification
Check 4 parts shackles are used c/w cotterpin.
Check secondary retention systems for nuts being used.
Secondary retention wire-sling is required over cylinder
SWL Shackle = 1.5 Ton

B5 Powertong Spring Cylinder


Check certification
Check 4 parts shackles are used c/w cotterpin
Secondary retention wire-sling is required over cylinder
SWL Shackle = 1.5 Ton

B6 Swivels used for Power tong & TOP spider


Check certifcation of swivel itself + lifting sling
Ensure 4 part shackles are used
Only cotterpins are allowed
SWL = 1.5 MT
