1. Introduction:
This study will analyse the reasons of unsteady and less enrollment of students in Cambridge
Little Ones Preschool, Pune, the study of impression of school on nearby natives, comparison of type
of population and school standard, the reason of any negativity about school among people, amount of
efforts and funds utilised by school for marketing, the way and effectiveness of advertisement of school
etc.
Preschools are the establishments where children in very young age are sent for learning before
they go for compulsory education. Quality preschool education is the foundation of a child’s life
journey. Yet despite the proven benefits nearly half of the preschool age children around the world are
not enrolled in the preschools. Children from poor families are unable to get enrollment due to financial
conditions and unawareness and children who do have access if not properly educated by poorly
trained educators or low teacher / student ratio or non motivating environment diminish the quality of
their experience.
Still preschools are not under government rules and regulations and they have their own
syllabus. This early year education is not even compulsory and it is up to parents weather to enroll or
not their child to preschool.
Failure to provide early education, by all means, limits children’s futures by denying them
opportunities to reach their full potential. It also limits future of the societies and countries by not
developing the human resources needed for peaceful, progressive and prosperous society.
Like in every business, profit is important, and steady or increasing enrollment numbers are
lifeblood for preschool owners/managers. The owners should be able to build parent’s trust in them in
order to get steady admissions.
Hence higher enrollment in preschools is beneficial to all viz. students, parents, owners, society
and nation,
Hiding and underestimating threats and weaknesses of schools is like and allowing them to
damage the school or slowly bringing the school to end.
1
So school owners, local government and central government constantly need SWOT
analysis of Preschools to increase enrollment in a view of future integrated, peaceful society. The
goal of this SWOT analysis is to take avoiding action against any weakness or threat revealed in the
analysis or to neutralise if possible and use the analysis results in improving admissions.
This project is about the issues relating to the enrollment of early age students, which
we can say heart of a school, faced by Preschools. This theory focuses on the general issues in
marketing strategies of preschools.
At its most sophisticated and comprehensive, it (SWOT Analysis) can be used for school’s
marketing policies. However, it is also of value to solving localised issues and challenges.
1. A SWOT analysis for preschool is a tool that can provide prompts to the owners,
management, teachers and staff involved in the study of what is practical and less effective in the
school’s systems and procedures often used in preparation for a plan of some form (that can be an
audit, assessment, quality checks etc.)
2. A SWOT analysis will help to keep the school constantly in front of the parents and
establish positive feelings about the school.
3. A SWOT can be used for any planning or analysis activity which could impact future
finance, planning and management decisions of the school or establishment. It can enable the
owners and management to carry out a more comprehensive analysis.
1. Recently a huge number of preschools are emerged out and there is big competition.
2. ‘Location of school’ has great impact on admissions.
3. Knowledge in nearly all fields is growing at enormous speed compared to acceptance of new
syllabus by the management.
4. Hiring Teachers is harder day by day.
2
A SWOT analysis can help the school owners and management identify opportunities that
the business could take advantage of to make greater profits. Conducting a SWOT analysis will
help them understand the internal factors (business's strengths and weaknesses) that will influence
their ability to take advantage of a new opportunity.
5. Hypotheses:
Hypothesis is an idea or theory put forth that is based on known fact but has not yet
been proved.
