Kali Research Project

Kali Linux is a popular operating system used by penetration testers. Kali comes loaded
with around 600 penetration testing tools. In our course we cover a few tools in ITSC-
311, however there is no way we could cover all 600+ tools available.
In this project you will research and demonstrate 2 applications available in Kali.
In order to mitigate the risk of two people doing the same application, you have to
submit a request for application to your instructor. The instructor will keep tabs on
who is researching which application. If your application has already been selected, you
will have to switch to something else.

Create a detailed PDF instruction manual that explains how to use the particular
applications.
-include (Title Page, Table of Contents, Body, References)
-You are not just copying the man page, or copy and pasting a website. It needs to be in
your words.
-professional formatting is critical, your grade will be impacted by poor formatting.
-need to make use of screenshots, and verbose explanations of screenshots

how to use the applications. Consider that the reader has never used this application
before. Consider the following questions: What is this application used for? What is
it’s purpose? How could a security professional utilize it? What value does it have? What
is the output? Does it pair well with other applications? If you need more guidance on
explorative questions, please check with your instructor.
