REGULATIONS & INSTRUCTION

1. This is an open book examination. Student has 120 minutes to complete all questions.
2. Student go to BB and download examination file. After downloading files, students should change the
name of downloaded files as
“StudentID_StudentFullName.slsx”
and confirm that they have read and understood regulations and instructions as “Read and Agree” in chatbox
of MS team. We don’t accept any answering sheets or solutions which do not follow our regulation and
instruction. Hence the result is not valid.
3. If students finish before the ending time, they can submit their works (Excel file) on BB and send message
in MS team to instructor and wait for confirmation from instructor. After receiving the confirmation, student
can quit the room and finish the examination.
When time is up, students have 10 minutes to send their works to BB and wait for the confirmation from the
instructor. After 10 minutes, their work is no longer valid. Instructor will check EACH student and confirm
that he or she can leave or send again their result. Without the instructor confirmation, the result is not
valid.
4. Students should report any problems to instructors using MS-Team if they have during sending their work
to Blackboard. Instructors will give you the second plan.

(3 marks) Download file “PartA” and change its name of your downloaded file as “StudentID_StudentFullname”,
says student Nguyen Van A with student ID BABAIU18123 will save their files as
“BABAIU18123_NguyenVanA.slsx”.

Notes that: don’t use Vietnamese accent in the filename.

In the sequel, you will work in the Excel workbook that you have changed its name recently.

Question 1 (20 marks) – In the Excel workbook, open the Question spreadsheet, reorganize the data in Table 1
- (10 marks) to show the amount (count) of Contract No for each Category in each Region
- (10 marks) create a chart next to the reorganization data to compare in the same time the number of Contract
No for each Category and each Region

Evaluation Rubric
- Corrected chart style (4 marks) and if you use different chart style (1 marks)
- The chart should have the appropriate title, legend and harmonic color (1 mark)

Question 2 (15marks) Build a validation list of Location (10 marks) and complete Table 2 (5 marks)

Question 3 (20 marks) We want to increase the Total in Table 2 by varying the amount of Electric of Bruxelles from
9 to 12 and Mechanics of Bruxelles from 9 to 12 accordingly.
- (10 marks) Complete the Table 3 (3 marks) as shown below using Data-Table (9 marks)
- (10 marks) Using highlight tool find all possibilities to increasing Total strictly greater than 204 and write
down the conclusion in the blank

Question 4 (20 marks) A travel company must rent 2 type of vehicle (bus and van) to pick up their customer. A bus
has 40 adult seats and 3 children seats. A van has 8 adult seats and 1 children seat. A bus costs $1300 and a van costs
$350 per day. There are 400 adults and 36 children to pick-up. How many bus and van they should rent with the
minimum cost?

Question 5 (25 marks) Find you own data set of Price and Quality Sold in the end of examination sheet

- (5 marks) choose and draw a chart to figure out the pattern of data (if applicable)
- (5 marks) Use Data Analysis Tool to find and highlight the R square, Significance F and P-values
- (5 marks) Find the value a and b which shows linear relation between Price and Quality Sold in the result
given by Data Analysis Tool and complete Y=ax+b column
- (5 marks) draw the regression line Y = ax +b in the same chart to figure out the pattern of data in the
abovementioned question
- (5 marks) Predict the Quality Sold when the price is max(price in column) + 1
