Discovering Your Ministry
Discovering Your Ministry
If you are among those Christians who are asking themselves what to do, “do I have a ministry?
Remember that each of us has a ministry.
This is the common problem of churches today, some if not most of members don’t know what their
ministry and don’t understand what ministry is?
1. Principle of Ownership-1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (ESV), he asks, “Or do you not know that your body
is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for
you were bought with a price.
Romans 12:1 12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
We must be acceptable, presentable servant of God. CLEANSED, DEDICATED
3. Principle of membership- so we are, being many, are one body in Christ, a8nd 8individu8ally
members of one another Romans 12:5
Though we are already member of the body once we become a believer of Christ, we must
understand that we must be connected to the body of Christ. This is the reason why we need
our fellow Christians. We are part of larger body ministering to God.
4. Principle of stewardship-“having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let
us use them…” Romans 12:6
Our gifts are designed for ministry, that’s why last time we discussed about discovering our gifts
because this is where we will going to serve God better. Gifts are proof that everyone has
ministry.
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which
God prepared in advance for us to do”
5. Principle of Fellowship-Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love
and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one
another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near
