Her artwork was judged the best of over 4,000 entries, Entitled 'Say No to Shark's Fin’, the competition was organised by Australia-based OceanNEnvironment as part of the festival "think my concept of missing a piece of shark's fin won the hearts of the judges. I spent two months researching sharks and drawing," says Charlotte, a Form Three student from Diocesan Girls' School Elaine Au Chun-ning, 15, won the 2007 Merit of Excellence Award in the on-site drawing contest, which was attended by the top 50 finalists. She and Charlotte study painting at the Simply Art Creative Painting Studio. Elaine's winning work depicts a smiling face formed by dolphins, sharks, starfish and other sea creatures.
