I am really happy to learn that the Department of Business Administration under the
School of Management Sciences of our University has taken up the important
responsibility of bringing out a Placement Brochure to explore the possibility of finding
suitable placement for the students of the department. It is indeed encouraging to
know that despite the pandemic situation all around, the students have put in their
wholehearted effort while working remotely for meticulously preparing the Brochure.
I am sure that while highlighting the achievements of the concerned departments, the
Brochure will provide all such relevant information about our students that would be
of assistance to the recruiting agencies in considering them for employment. Given the
quality of the students of the concerned department along with the various skill
development initiatives undertaken by the university in the form of workshops and
trainings, I am sure that the students shall be industry ready and focused to face the
challenges of the corporate world.
It is my pleasure to invite you to our campus for picking up students of MBA and MTTM
programme. I am sure you will not be disappointed. The Department of Business
Administration is robust with innumerable activities throughout the year. Inspite of the
present pandemic situation, the department ensured that the students do not waste time
and remain engaged with study/classes and activities including internships and webinars.
There was no slackness in taking classes and evaluation. The whole focus was on adding value
to the time spent at Tezpur University and maintaining mental and physical health of our
students. This was possible due to the efforts exerted by the faculty and students’ willingness
to comply. The students of the Department are trained not only by a dedicated team of faculty
but also people/experts drawn from industry. The syllabus is one of the best in the country
that is designed in consultation with the industry and of course following guidelines of AICTE.
Students undergo activities that require teamwork, and being in a university they are to work
in cross functional teams. Our students are tech savvy and competent enough to carry
out/participate/organize tasks online. We are grateful to
all our recruiters who have trusted our students and
visited our campus again and again. We are also proud
of our alumni who are present across the globe and
doing well. We will be glad to have you in the campus!
Thank you for entrusting continuous faith in us for the past 25 years. Being in a central
university with state of the art infrastructural facilities, our students are exposed to a wide
array of academic engagements. In addition to the rigorous academic curriculum our
university also imparts substantial value addition components such as foreign languages,
yoga and groomed & certified by Corporate trainers like Dale Carnegie, Tinker Labs, Capsim,
Tally Academy etc.
Our students have been actively organizing various corporate leader's talk, working on live
projects, case studies as well as participating and excelling in inter-college and corporate
competitions, hence move a step further to prove themselves in a competitive environment.
We are committed and proactive in satisfying industry needs for the talent you are looking
forward to. Moreover, an unrelenting support comes from our alumni and the pool of
renowned faculty (in-house & visiting) who are committed to building up a cadre of
academically strong and technically efficient professionals. Here our final year students are
gearing up to hit the corporate arena as full-time workforce.

It’s indeed my pleasure to present before you the industry ready batches of

adhered to by virtue of online teaching, learning and assessments and
possibly, our university is one of those educational institutions which have
been able to complete the semester in its proper time. The MBA batch is
additionally equipped with important skillsets such as Design Thinking,
Business Simulation etc conducted by global training organisations. The

department and I have a firm conviction that the batch of 2021 shall deliver
beyond your expectations. Wish the students the best in their careers!
Tourism is one of the largest and most dynamic sectors of the modern
economy providing not only jobs but a myriad of other opportunities. It
positively affects the economic growth and development of the country
especially vigorous tourism industry like accommodation, transportation,
heritage, tradition, entertainment, wildlife, etc. Tourism in our country is the
source of new jobs and revenue to sustenance especially in the visited tourist
destinations.
The Department of Business Administration, Tezpur University in its Masters
of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM) programme committed to
providing the students with the best possible education to prepare them for
their future careers in tourism sectors. In order to flourish in this fastest-
growing job market, students need to be practically grounded and to be able
to work effectively; they also need to be flexible and creative, and to have the
ability to think positively and to reflect on how they relate to their
counterpart and customers in tourism sectors.
