 Pleases refer attached Photos for turbine rotor in which area with red mark to be repaired most repair at right side where journal bearing
and thrust bearing are located , some what a at left side also please confirm all dimension with new shaft as our side it is same but
during application of HVOF need to be verify at each stage of repair

 Please make gate pass and send following items to outside vendor when approval will come.

1) Exist one Rotor-shaft assy.-01 st.. in which governor side journal and thrust bearing area, coupling side journal bearing area to be repaired.
(PMI result-4140 exact: Fe-97.72%. Mn-81%, Cr.-0.91%, Mo-0.209%, Cu-0.15%, Ni-0.10%).

2) New thrust bearing 528247-01. for sample purpose to check final dimension.

3) New Rotor Shaft 528244-01. (PMI result-4140 exact: Fe-97.72%. Mn-81%, Cr.-0.91%, Mo-0.209%, Cu-0.15%, Ni-0.10%).

While selecting steam turbine 1st question is which stand either API611 or API612 would be prefereed

When driven equipment are compresoor or generator orheavy duty m/c API612 and API 611 for driving lubeoil pump or small duty
m/c.
Difference between API 611 and API 612
S.no Description API 611 API 612

1 Application General Purpose Steam Turbine Special Purpose Steam Turbine

Turbine Design life is 20 years and Turbine design life is not defined in the standard.

2 Design Life uninterrupted period of operation will be 3 Also, the uninterrupted period of operation will be

years as per purchaser requirement.

Operating condition Variation & Operating steam condition as per NEMA-

3 Operating steam condition as per NEMA-SM 24
Steam Purity SM 23.

4 External Force and Moment As per NEMA-SM 23 As per NEMA-SM 24

Steam Turbine used for process Application -

Safe operation Limit of a rotor The rotors are designed for the safe 127% of rated speed.
5
(momentary) without damaging operation limit of 110% of the trip speed In the case of generator Application – 121% of

synchronous speed.

6 Integral Flinger Integral flingers are not applicable The rotor shaft will be designed with Integral
flinger between the bearing housing and shaft
seal. This to avoid the moisture enter into the
bearing housing.
