Mr. Aderogba Adewusi started the Excel training with me on 22nd of march, 2022 in conference room at Bagco, a division of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc. and the summary of the training so far goes as follows:

IMPORTANCE OF EXCEL 1. A software which uses spreadsheets to store, organize and track data sets with formulars and function. 2. The use of excel can be found in every organization even the ones we can’t imagine the applications of excel. OPENING EXCEL ON PC Excel can be opened on PC in various ways 1. From Windows start 22/03/2022 menu. 2. By pinning the excel App on the task bar. 3. Excel can be opened from a saved excel file. ASSIGNMENT ON HOW Prepare a spreadsheet for 300 EXCEL CAN BE USED IN A active clients for a firm LAW FIRM. containing some vital information about the clients also telling the number of active and inactive cases the clients have with the firm. SAMPLE OF THE EXERCISE A format of how the assignment GIVEN should be done was given.
CREATING A NEW FILE Click on the file tab from the
WHILE WORKING ON tools bar, some options appear, EXCEL ALREADY. then click on new and a new face (spreadsheet appears).
Another way is by pressing
“CTRL + N” OPENING AN EXISTING Click on file tab on the tools bar FILE and click on “OPEN” from the options that appear. Some of the files recently used on excel show up, click on the file you want and if the file you 24/03/2022 want is not listed, click on “BROWSE” to select the desired file or directory. SAVING A NEW FILE Click on file tab on the tools bar and click on “SAVE AS” from the options that appear. Choose where you want the file to be. Select the format you want the file to be saved as. Enter the file name and save it. Or simply press “CTRL + S” to take and follow suite. SAVING AN OLD FILE Click on file tab on the tools bar and click on “save” from the options that appear. Or simply press “CTRL + S”
And if the initial format is to be
changed, click on “SAVE” and change to the format you want.
PRINTING A FILE Click on file tab on the tools bar
and click on “PRINT” from the options that appear. A preview of how the file will come out will be shown, you can then arrange/set how you prefer it before printing it.
Or simply press “ALT + F+ W
+ p” to go to the preview of the file and then arrange and print.
