Students will learn to understand the ideas behind the Great Depression and New Deal through
videos and other activities where they will have the opportunity to refine their understandings.

Lesson idea implementation: Teacher creates Padlet lesson. Students will complete the self-guided
lesson. They will watch two BrainPop videos, answer two prompts, and complete it with a quick quiz.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): The BrainPop videos have closed captions, audio description,
playback speed adjustments, and transcripts available as accessibility options.
Reflective Practice: This lesson implements activities that will keep the students actively engaged. I
am most looking forward to incorporating the BrainPop videos because they are fun and I cannot
wait to incorporate a tool that I enjoyed when I was in elementary soon.
