RAINBOW TROUT

Rainbow trout, also called redband trout, are

gorgeous fish, with coloring and patterns that
vary widely depending on habitat, age, and
spawning condition. They are torpedo-
shaped and generally blue-green or yellow-
green in color with a pink streak along their
sides, white underbelly, and small black spots
on their back and fins.

SARDINA CRINUDA

It is distinguished from the other clupeids of

the eastern Pacific by having a filamentous
extension of the last radius of the dorsal fin, a
row of shields along the ventral midline, rows
of scales that cross the back between the
head and the dorsal fin and by having a thin-
walled elliptical gizzard

RED GROUPER

Red grouper is present in the Western Atlantic from the

Carolinas south to Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico,
Caribbean and Bermuda; however, it is most abundant in
the eastern Gulf of Mexico. In general, red grouper is a
dark brown color with a reddish hue on its back and sides,
fading to a pale pink underneath. Its face, around the
cheek, snout and eyes, may have dark spots and the sides
of the body usually have irregularly shaped white spots or
blotches. The red grouper’s mouth lining is a scarlet-orange
color.
TILAPIA

This fish is raised in more than 130 countries, both in tanks and
in indoor ponds, being very popular for its rapid growth in
artificial environments and its good tolerance to overcrowded
conditions, in addition to being able to be fed with algae and soy
instead of meat. Tilapia is also not a big deal if we compare it
with other much more reputable fish. If we look at its nutritional
content, we can find that it has. In 80 grams of tilapia we can find
110 kilocalories and 20 grams of protein, in addition to B
vitamins, iron, selenium and zinc. It is not the best fish to
increase the consumption of omega-3 fatty acids compared to
other sources such as salmon and mackerel.

MACKEREL

Mackerels are rounded and torpedo-

shaped, with a slender, keeled tail base, a
forked tail, and a row of small finlets behind
the dorsal and anal fins. They are
carnivorous fishes and feed on plankton,
crustaceans, mollusks, fisheggs, and small
fish.

YELLOWFIN TUNA

Yellowfin tuna are torpedo-shaped with dark

metallic blue backs, yellow sides, and a silver belly.
They have very long anal and dorsal fins and finlets
that are bright yellow. Yellowfin can live up to six or
seven years. They are highly migratory and are
found throughout the Pacific, Atlantic and Indian
Oceans. They form schools with other tunas like
skipjack and bigeye, and are also known to
associate with dolphins. Yellowfin are able to breed
year-round
