Level 1 and CMO No. 06, 2022, RE:Sustaininig Flexible Learning in HEIs
and in preparation for the opening of classes this First Semester AY 2022-
2023. The learning delivery modalities that BatStateU Lipa Campus adopt
two learning modalities: face-to-face and Hybrid Learning depending on the
COVID-19 restrictions and the particular context of the learners in the
university or locality.

A. Face-to-Face Learning

This refers to a learning delivery modality where the students and the
teacher are both physically present in the classroom, and there are
opportunities for active engagement, immediate feedback, and the socio-
emotional development of learners. In areas under the Moderate and High-
risk severity grading, this is not possible. Conducting face-to-face learning
must adhere to the health protocols in place. The Batangas State University-
Lipa Campus will implement face-to-face classes for Wet and Dry
Laboratory courses and Mathematics and other computation intensive
courses.
B. Hybrid Learning

1. This refers to learning delivery that combines face-to-face with mix of

online learning. Hybrid Learning will enable the university to limit face-to-
face learning, ensure social distancing, and decrease the volume of people
outside the home at any given time. Hybrid learning is when conventional
face-to-face teaching is combined with offline or distance learning
approaches, like experiential learning and remote course delivery. The aim is
to use the right combination of learning strategies to efficiently teach content
while still meeting students’ learning needs. The additional learning
strategies are intended to supplement rather than replace conventional face-
to-face training. The class shall be alternately scheduled to face-to-face and
online learning in a weekly basis. The Batangas State University- Lipa
Campus will implement Hybrid Learning for General Education Course and
Professional Course (pure lecture and non-computational)
