Pre-course

What sources of information did you use to find out about the TESOL Plus program and were you able to easily
get the information you needed from these sources?

I used Sheridan website. It was very clear, organized, and informative.

Was the application and interview process satisfactory in introducing you to the course? Why or why not?

Yes, they were. Everything was done following a logical order. I was provided with all the information needed and the
application process went smoothly.

Was the pre-course task and readings useful in preparing you for the course? Why or why not?
The pre- course task and readings were not helpful as the courses offer a different content and I didn’t feel that the pre-
task supported me in any way.

Do you have any recommendations related to the pre-course procedures or preparation?

I think all the courses were very useful and much needed.

Was there anything you found particularly useful about your courses in general?

I found the demos done by the teachers were very helpful.

Did the courses and schedule of content in semester one provide cohesive and connected information?
Yes, they were very connected and related.

Feedback and lesson planning:

Did feedback help you focus on what you needed to work on in future TP sessions?
Yes, the feedback was extremely helpful as it was detailed and objective.

Did feedback highlight what you had accomplished and should keep doing in TP?
Yes, the feedback pointed out the strengths and the points we should work on which was extremely beneficial.
Keeping in mind the time limitations on a given day and the need to develop independence in lesson planning
by the end of the course, did you receive adequate support in lesson planning? (e.g. from TP notes, sample
lessons in the handbook, reference pages in the handbook, speaking with your tutors, verbal and written
feedback)
Yes, I received enough feedback and I liked the gradual process of giving little guidance at the end of the course. This
helped us rely on our knowledge and on each other as it prepared us for actual teaching when you are responsible for your
own decisions.
