PASSIVE VOICE
Passive voice is a type of English sentence that emphasizes the object ( receiver of action ).
While the active sentence emphasizes the subject or actor of the activity ( doer of action ).

In addition to focusing on objects, passive voice is also useful as a statement when the
subject or actor is not clearly known or indicates that the subject is an inanimate object.

Rules for Changing Active Voice to Passive Voice

● Identify the subject, the verb and the object : SVO.

● Change the object into subject.
● Put the suitable helping verb or auxiliary verb. In case the helping verb is given, use
the same verb but note that the helping verb given agrees with the object.
● Change the verb into the past participle form.
● Add the preposition "by".
● Change the subject into an object.

Operas And Dramas Can Have Negative
Impacts On The Viewers.

Argument 1 The soap operas and dramas on TV has left

negative impacts on the viewers due to its
poor, ridiculous and simplified story,
characters in it. Such kind of show, if being
watched frequently, could lead to the
simplified perspective among the viewers'
mind, which eventually becomes their
reference to see or understand everything
happening in their life. That would be
ruining the social perspective and
eventually disrupt the development of the
nation in general.

Argument 2 The TV stations simply lower their own

quality and let themselves become apart of
the crowd and slave of invalid shallow
rating system by using the soap operas and
dramas. Such shows which show a lot
violence in any kind of form, indirectly also
promote it to viewers and contribute to the
rise of the trend of violence in the society in
the long run.

Conclusion TV soap operas and dramas does not only

lead to negative impacts in the short term
but also the long term towards the viewers
and society in general.
